Oh lawd. This was the #1 earner in JP for the loooongest time 4 years ago before genshin came out, I mean MILLIONS a month. I've heard good things about it but the track record for Cygames releasing ports 3-4 years later in the west isn't the best. I'll try this horse girl derby simulator though lol.

Edit: oh Cygames is self publishing. Thank god it's not another priconne/Crunchyroll situation. Worries averted.

 

OG steamdeck is still fantastic, OLED is deff a worthwhile upgrade for the screen and battery life alone

 

I don’t really follow twitch culture outside of niche streamers I enjoy

but apparently a member of the band Forever Came Calling (who is a former twitch employee) outed this dude last week for talking to minors on twitch years ago and now the studio he founded just terminated him + he ended his YouTube stream saying he might be done streaming

I admittedly watched him a lot prior to the bathroom at TwitchCon incident years ago, and I'm glad I stopped. The people trying to defend him in the replies is really bad too. Midnight Society dropping him doesn't just happen unless they were provided ample evidence, considering he was a co-founder/investor, but he was problematic for a long time, so they shouldn't win any brownie points from this.

 

Exactly, this is just a very strong indication that there is clear evidence of what he is being accused of.

I want to be excited about this because I love the franchise but the problem facing this is the same thing that faced Priconne: being so far behind means knowing the meta too well, so you'll get less whales buying everything to keep it afloat.

While I wholeheartedly agree with you, I want to believe that BECAUSE it's not another priconne/CR situation and Cygames is self publishing.....they won't really care about whales as much as an outside publisher would. See GBF, it doesn't make as much money as it used to but for an almost decade old game it's still alive and I feel if someone like CR or any other publisher would have a say in the situation, it'd have been cancelled already. But Cygames being the sole voice, they can be more lenient.
