The Mantis Shrimp boss battle in Dave the Diver was hilarious. A little frustrating at first, but I got his patterns down.

I really want to get this but saw people calling it overwhelming. Would you agree?

Just released the manticore in Animal Well and got the credits. I’m assuming the game is actually far from over but I can’t believe I went from “I’m getting frustrated with this game because I’m not making any progress!” to seeing the credits roll in less than 24 hours lol.

I did look up the solutions to two things: the ghost cat (this was not fun at all and I’m glad I looked up the solution) and how to fast travel.

You didnt ask me, but yes it is a bit overwhelming. You get a lot of data/ hints pretty quickly. The game makes it really easy to filter through it and find what you need though and if you are into puzzle games/ escape rooms I HIGHLY recommend it. Very very cool so far.

Personally, the overwhelming nature of it is a plus for me. Just feels like there are a lot of ways to go and things to solve.

I started playing Hi-Fi Rush after the news about Tango closing and seeing so many people in the waypoint discord praising that game, and holy shit what a great game it is.

I didn't think the combat would hook me initially, and while I don't think it integrates the rhythm game stuff as well as say a Neceodancer does, it is really rewarding in its own right. Though like every game with a party mechanic, I just ignore it until I have to and default to dodging.

The sense of humor is amongst the best I've seen in games too, probably the most I've laughed playing a game since Stanley Parable first came out.

Just top to bottom a very clever game.

Glad everyone is FINALLY getting to that game (too little to late unfortunately) but I played it day one and could not put it down. The last handful of bosses are a lesson in incredible game design. The soundtrack is perfect as well.

I have you on PS5 right? Trying to see which if my local buddies are grabbing it and where, apparently there is crossplay for some modes but not Dynasty. If we do get a PS5 group going, my expectation is probably just gonna be 2 games a week, idk what settings we'd use though, I usually defaulted to whatever Operation Sports sliders/settings were the most popular on their boards.

Started the arduous task of sleeving the Slay the Spire board game and that reminded me that I may have forgotten to post about it here. One of my all-time favorite games and I hope the hour/hour and a half sleeving time will be worth it, folks seem pretty positive on it from the Boardgame channels I follow. Box is BIG
