I am extremely worried about Obsidian. part of me thinks there’s no way they would touch Obsidian and another more realistic part of me knows Xbox is just straight up evil

 

Could it potentially be at the Showcase in June?

 

Fallout 3 is weirdly humble. It has a grand total of 17 side quests and like 25 miscellaneous quests. Those are ridiculously small numbers for a game of its scope. And I remember more of them than I do any of the Skyrim quests.

But I guess I have to insert the obligatory New Vegas comparison as it has both quality and quantity.

 

they should remake New Vegas. maybe 1 or 2 too.

 

The obvious ones to suggests are all of PlayStation tentpole exclusives: God of War, Last of Us, Horizon, Ghost of Tsushima.

Honestly if you’re likely to only try stuff here and there, I’d probably suggest trying the PS+ Extra subscription. It’s $ 135 for a year but there are a ton of games you get access to and almost all of their big games are included or will be soon. Think it would be more worth your money rather than buying full priced games if you’re not sure you’ll finish them. Plus I think there are usually cosmetics or deals on for Fortnite that get dropped every month with it so your son could get those without spending extra money.

I'll probably regret this but I think they'll be fine. People overlook how successful Grounded is. But who knows at this point. Avowed might completely flop.

 

if avowed is good that would be dope

hope it maybe scratches an ES itch

Has there been any word about the Wonder Woman game recently or even since it was announced?

Also want to throw in that I would be pretty devastated if something happened to Obsidian, so I’m pretty worried too

 

Zig and I were talking about this and the conclusion we came to was that even if Xbox tried Obsidian would just reform and keep thriving, they can never die

 

didnt realize hellblade 2 comes out in like two weeks. ninja theory is fucked.

 

They took way too long to get that game out, not sure how that’s gonna do

 

And it's coming to gamepass, which means they're fucked i guess since that didn't save hi-fi rush/tango

 

Yeah I don’t see Feargus letting them die at this point

 

Metroidvania Mania (pay what you want and help charity)

I think I’m suppose to get my Xbox tomorrow and I was all hyped to play fallout again and that crab souls game but like with all this new news I think I’ll just stick to Dave the Diver on my ps5 for now lol

 

Some recent games I have played:

GRIS: While beautiful, it fails at some seemingly basic gameplay mechanics. It is a 2D game, but the times when you can interact with things in the foreground and background seems to come at random.

Dead Space 2: A lot of people say it is better than the original, but the strings of the formula are too obvious. It felt very novel that you were using power tools in the first game, but here it just feels obligatory. At least when you started with the crowbar again in Half-Life 2, it felt self-aware.

Divinity: Original Sin. Too hard and not enough was explained. I fooled around in the main town and the few areas outside with enemies but when you can't revive your party members even after a battle and have to wait in-game for merchants to sell revive scrolls, it isn't worth finishing.

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages. Honestly, Zelda games are much more admirable for their craft than actually fun to play. There is some fun in the power fantasy near the end when you are full of items and abilities, but it can be a chore.

Gone Home: What a magnificent use of the medium to tell a story. Perfect length, as well.
