@slowheart @digitalsea lemme know your thoughts. I’m about twelve hours in and loving it. I would not suggest it to casual gamers or casual rpg fans but i think the true JRPG geeks will love it.

 

I like all the MMO aspects you listed except for the level cap, I fully agree there (and the other things you mentioned are valid too of course but I enjoy them). I’d prefer it if certain battles were just level synced to get that result, I don’t like being unable to level more if I want to

I feel like the breeding consumption is offset by being able to preview your outcome and breed for competitive so much easier than you do in standard games but I understand how that doesn't really apply to people who don't care about that

 

does all the characters feel different? like actually useful to dip into different ones

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is maybe the most underrated Zelda game ever

For Pokemon I'd play X/Y or OR/AS (I prefer the latter), avoid Sun/Moon and the follow ups

The Mario games are good and I hear the Persona Q games are good, I'm going to start them sometime this year

I'm sure other people can be more helpful as I didn't play THAT much on my 3DS but that's a start!

 

Yeah I'd say theres pretty distinguishable differences, especially with their range which dictates where to put them. It looks like a lot of their abilities hinge on their runes equipped which you unlock a lot more as the game progresses and will offer more variety.

I've found my party building involving strategy for sure as far as roles.

 

Yes, A Link Between Worlds is TREMENDOUS.

@RyanPm40 if you want an outstanding JRPG, Dragon Quest VIII on 3DS is the best version of the game and an amazing game overall.

 

ALBW is frequently talked about as being one of the best 2D Zelda games so I don't know where underrated comes from.

I think Cadence of Hyrule would be the one truly underrated Zelda game absolutely no one talks about

 

Today has been largely a disaster (par for the course of my birthdays lol) but just got an email saying I got into the Hades II playtest

 

Acclaim was too good for this world
