Definitely want a NV Remake/Remaster but I’ll settle for The Outer Worlds

Even with its big issues in story and poor quest branching, the gameplay in FO4 is great and they added a ton of things to the formula that I love: sprinting, better first person mechanics, power armor not requiring a skill, companions can't just die, and while they didn't execute it that well imo I thought settlement building was a nice addition that could be great in the next game

fucked up thing is I somehow have like 200+ hours between two playthroughs (I like to wander and do side quests) in FO4 but never did the ending past the point where you choose a faction. That part frustrated me too much for some reason.

 

I actually really like that you have to choose and that the other faction(s) become hostile afterwards, makes it feel like your choices actually matter.

Also really liked building settlements so I guess I'm in the minority here

 

I dont think I realized at the time that they would aggro me immediately so I was kinda pissed when I just failed a ton of side quests I was working on in the blink of an eye

 

My big three FO4 gripes

-Settlements/base building
-Dialogue system
-Limited freedom in terms of story and choices

 

Gameplay wise, I enjoyed many of the mechanics. Not including a degrading and repair element was certainly a choice though.

 

One thing I miss the most is the Karma system. One of my favorite things they did in 3/NV. Lots of fun getting randomly attacked by the regulators or talon depending on your good/evil status.

 

having fun with curse of the dead gods so far. bosses seem ridiculously easy while the room to room combat can be super hard lol. weird tuning there but I’m still in the early game. The controls feel nice and the weapons are different enough from games like hades that it’s not just a clone

 

Finally picked up the RG35XXH recently and I'm having so much fun with it. Does up to PS1, Dreamcast, and DS.

 

Trying out a free trial of modern WoW, I only had played Classic a few months ago. Fuck it.

Dave the Diver keeps throwing more shit at me, but it’s so bizarre and goofy that I’m just amazed at what’s going to happen next. Truly a gem of a game.

Modern WoW is such a better choice for me, Classic was good nostalgia but god damn its so slow. I got a mount already here!

 

Back in my day you had to struggle and earn your mounts, not just be handed them

 

Man I remember grinding so hard for insane lengths of time to get my mount back in OG WoW when I was a kid. I was so freaking pumped to get it.

 

Getting the gold needed to buy your first mount in classic wow is a tier 1 feeling gaming moment for myself

 

Yess exactly, getting the funds was the hardest part.



I'm a vibing hard with retail WoW right now though. Went arcane mage and I love it.

 

I’m playing a sub rogue on retail right now. The faster pace of progression is way more my speed these days especially because I still want to play other games unlike when I used to play wow and wouldn’t play anything else at all

 

Yeah but going back to classic was way easier to get shit than it was in vanilla because I was 13 years old and didn’t know how to play and now I have like an encyclopedic knowledge of RPGs so figuring things out wasn’t nearly as hard a second time around

 

If I could just do end game dungeons and raiding without having to do the grind, I'd hop back on WoW instantly. Just too tough to find the time now.

 

Trying out Eiyuden Chronicle Rising just to get some vibes for the world. I'm so stoked on 100 heroes, fuck it looks amazing. I've been CRAVING Suikoden too once they announced the remasters but haven't played the OGs because those freakin remasters should be coming out soon!!!

 

Wasteland remastered is 2 bucks on steam rn

 

I only played a few hours of it back in the day but I started Skyrim on my Deck and I don’t remember combat being so fucking hard lol. I’m not super committed yet so maybe it’s just because I’m not taking it seriously but I’m only 45 minutes in and keep getting wrecked
