    oh word?

it’s funny cos I started genshin when it first came out and I had put so many hours into that and it just felt so overwhelming afterwards. With HSR, I started that the first time it came out too and I had initially dropped it bc I had gotten a new phone (obviously bc my dumbass didn’t connect my hoyoverse account for some reason). When i got a PS5, that’s when I started playing it again. I think the difference is bc the turn-based system is so satisfying to me. Not that I don’t like ARPGs, but HSR clicked more for me, story and all too.

While I definitely enjoy the turn based battles more, the elemental reaction aspect of genshin is extremely satisfying to play around with and can be pretty busted with the right reactions....I really wish there was a way to implement it into a turn based game.

Also speaking of new gachas, this comes out soon. Looks like it could have been a Vanillaware game tbh.

Yeah considering it took over 3 years for 13 Sentinels to hit 1 million and I think that's their most critically acclaimed to date, it really looks like this game is a success and has found quite the audience.

Man, leaks suck so much. I want to feel excited when the reveals come out and see the trailers and what the company/developers have planned. What a bummer. Would have been a nice surprise and now some dumbass who wants internet clout leaks it.

Player's Log: Trails Into Reverie/Boundless Trails.

I finished every story related item in Trails Into Reverie. I didn't do all the Void Spires so I didn't complete the Bestiary, but it wasn't important for anything story or achievement-wise, so I don't feel bad about not bothering. Same with finishing the in-game achievements. I have no motivation to get all my party members to Level 250, I'm sorry.

Anyway, with that out of the way, I've started Boundless Trails and I've already finished the prologue and first act. It is, as previously mentioned, very different from the other Trails games, and it's vague on if it's even really supposed to be a Trails game at all. It's considered a spinoff, but that's it.

It's been a long time since I played Brave Fencer Musashi, but for some reason the action-RPG mechanics in this game remind me of it, in the way that there's a real focus on the action part. Platforming is a thing that happens, and besides that, there are two main hub zones and everything else is broken up into levels, with a light Metroidvania aspect in that there are some items you can't collect your first time through a level.

The plot is very Kingdom Heartsish so far. The hero lives on an island, dreams of finding another world, and then finds said world and the story begins.

So far the only two things that even remotely tie this game to the rest of the series are:

    1. The presence of Mishy as a "collectible" you can spot in various areas, which feels more like a wink and a nod than an actual tie-in.

    2. The lead character's last name is Herschel and his father was an astronomer, and his father and mother vanished under mysterious circumstances, while Towa Herschel's grandfather was an astronomer who passed away before Cold Steel III. Could they be related? Maybe?

This feels like a very weak connection though, and even if Nayuta is intended to be an ancestor or distant relative of Towa, it still doesn't feel like it has that much bearing on the plot.

Anyway, I am still enjoying the game, especially the focus on action mechanics. It just doesn't feel like a Trails game at all, and I'm very curious on how or even if Falcom really intends to bring this into canon.

Im gonna bitch about Microsoft, which is okay because Nate can't see my posts so i'm allowed. I'm gonna say fuck a lot probably.

I fucking wanted to play Forza 5 to see if I fucking even like a racing game so I download it on XBOX's bullshit slow app even though I literally own a microsoft PC, then when it downloads i connect my MICROSOFT XBOX ELITE CONTROLLER to my MICROSOFT PC playing through the MICROSOFT XBOX APP and holy fuck the controls in controller mode were so fucking broken and unusable I gave up after ten mins even trying to solve the problem. It was literally unplayable, using any stick to turn the car would instead change the camera and not turn the car.

    Fucking ridiculous

I just need to know if you actually mean Motorsport 5 or Horizon 5, because the latter (and all the others in the series) are incredible and I am very much not a racing guy
