Player’s Log - Alan Wake 2 is a 10/10. The twist ending and set up for the upcoming DLC are crazy. It’s visually the best game I’ve played and both characters’ campaigns are terrifying. I watched an analysis and they mentioned they do the dual characters better than TLOU2. Some of the story left me asking more questions at the end, but it atill kept me engaged. The case board with Alan adding things to scenes to change your area was a really interesting concept and Saga’s “mind place” gave a good reference place to previous plot points and adding evidence to it made me feel like a detective (lol IGN). I still stand by not playing it if you’re looking for action, since there’s not much shooting and it’s all about exploration, atmosphere, and narrative. Heck, there’s even a live action 15 minute short film when you’re in the theatre that I just sat and watched (that is relevant to the story). That’s dedication. Anyways, this is longer than I thought.

It really is the peak of video games right now. A new bar has been set. Can’t wait for Control 2.

It’s probably my GOTY/tied with FF16. Absolutely loved it

 

Been playing Remnant 2 coop with a friend. We haven't been having any trouble (tbf we're doing the casual mode) but suddenly made it to the final boss and hit a wall. Like night/day compared to everything we've done so far.

Also we've just realized we really haven't leveled our weapons up much past halfway and we're only at 10 hours compared to TTB saying like 19ish. Learning new things lmao.

 

yea the final boss in Remnant 2 is just unfun.

 

The second phase is the problem.

Doesn't help it has a mechanic where it switches areas and that jolt is doing numbers on my head. Started some new meds and the side effect is dizziness and it's amplifying it lmao

 

The leveling in that game is super strange. I suggest checking the subreddit or the discord for information because there can be moments when leveling up guns and such will actually have diminishing returns/make the weapon worse. I don't know if they changed that with the last update.

Another suggestion that I HIGHLY suggest is that you do an adventure. You can unlock so many more mutators, rings, amulets, weapons and such just by doing one of those.

 

Good to know and just learning about the leveling up. Will be checking out the subreddit to learn more before continuing on.

With adventure, can you still coop or is it a single-player function?
