Dead Cells accessibility options can (potentially) make the hardest difficulty as easy as normal. Good for collecting leveled blueprints then just readjust when you want more of a challenge.

I'm so exhausted by roguelikes at this point. My interest for a game immediately deflates as soon as I see "roguelike" in the description.

 

I feel the same about TLOU, hero shooters, Battle Royales and games that are hard described as "like Dark Souls"

 

The fun part about video games: THE CHOICE, to play what you want and ignore the rest.

 

Player’s Log: I talked with Estevez in the police station and it said this is the point of no return, so I’m using this to take a break for the day and absorb everything so far.
The twists of the cult being the good guys and killing Taken and Scratch being with us the whole time pretending to be wake were well done and I didn’t see them coming.

 

The fun part of video games for me is playing them.

oh yeah, I just wanted to update the thread: I am still playing Lords of the Fallen and it's lowkey incredible?!

 

Is it better than Forspoken?

 

that's actually a good question.

it's a more designed game than Forspoken, especially when it comes to levels -- it's less freeform and way more linear, which I personally enjoy more, but Forspoken had more bombast and actual story. I would argue I enjoy them both an equal amount but objectively Lords is probably better.

 

I’m so tempted to pick it up. Videos have me feeling mixed on it but I think I just need to play if myself and see how I like it. I loved Lies of P and I know you were meh on it so I’m curious to see how I’ll like it.

 

I really liked Lies of P and I think LOTF nails everything better than Lies did. Beautiful game too

 

I don't get why forspoken was so poorly received. Then again, I don't know anything about the actual gameplay. Kinda just looks like an action adventure with a female protagonist, which I can get behind

 

I feel like the combat feels more like I like my soulsborne combat to feel in Lords. I thought Lies of P felt very stiff, but now I am kinda itching to give it another chance once I am done.

Also I just adore the umbral mechanic. Having 2 lives makes the game so much less stressful and the levels so much more interesting.

 

I got Forspoken for like 10 bucks, still need to play

 

It was really rough at launch sis. It's good now after a gazillion patches. The same is true for Lords of the Fallen.

 

The dialogue of Forspoken really turned me off to it. The magic looked awesome.
