Goddammmmmiittttt I made it to the very final round in Balatro for the first time but couldn’t pull it off. I’m getting to the point where I might need to put this game down for a while lol.

I currently trying to unlock the last deck in Balatro (beat the second highest difficulty with any deck) and have gotten to the last round twice. Game can be very luck based sometimes so it is definitely a 1-3 runs at a time kind of game for me. Gets pretty frustrating when you only draw 4 hearts in the first 20 cards from a deck that is 60% hearts.

 

Change of plan I started final fantasy tactics psp port via emulation on my steam deck, been wanting to play a strategy rpg AND more final fantasy games lately so it’s a win win. also good to have a steam deck game I’m focusing on for when I want to watch videos or tv and chill while gaming vs playing rebirth on my main living room tv

 

Finished chapter two of Black Book, it's actually quite good! I was a bit skeptical of the story's pacing (particularly the time between card battles) but I've grown to enjoy it, has a nice creepy atmosphere

 

RT definitely had a severe decline after Ryan was revealed as mega creep.

F**kFace has been my favorite podcast the last few years and I hope they figure something out and can continue. Playing along watching Sloppy Joe’s Bingo with Geoff, Gavin, and Andrew (and Eric Baudour who I find fucking awesome and Nick the audio guy) was super fun for my husband and I. Eric and and Nick add SO much to the pod after they break that 4th wall.

 

Hopefully it works on the Steam Deck, I’ve been wanting to play this for a while.

It sucks because Rooster Teeth/Funhaus/Achievement Hunter introduced me to The Creatures who also disbanded and with the let’s play they did it showed me game grumps who is still luckily going on.

it feels like almost all gaming presence for me is gone on YouTube besides maybe a few streamers I watch but no big groups.

 

They’re independent, this doesn’t affect them

 

I remember when Achievement Hunter started going on tour and I thought it was so cool that people could actually travel around the world and just play video games on a stage for people.

And I guess that dream was just too big to last. I wonder if it ever actually was feasible, as it sounds like Rooster Teeth had been operating at a loss for some time.

Okay, I have decided I’m going to use my bonus to buy a Steam Deck OLED. I do wish the Legion Go had better reviews because I LOVE the idea of a larger screen and the ability to play AAA games, but it sounds like that’s at a huge cost to portability and comfort, and besides, that’s why I have a gaming laptop.

Are there any must have accessories? I’ll probably get a dock.

 

I have like a case and caps for the thumbsticks, but that's just to give it personality haha.
