ive got 6 hours with no wins but i just made it to ante 7 so im getting close.

And I'm still at chapter 4 of XBC3 clocking in at like 50 hours.....I don't think I'm gonna beat this before the 1st. Sure I could rush it but I'm loving the side quests and the world so ehhhhhh.

Just watched VaatVidya video on the ER DLC and OMG
Some cliff notes and as far as I know no spoilers:
-you must beat both Mohg and Radahn before you can access it.
-8 new weapon categories
-10 new bosses
-DLC is the size of Limgrave

In order to prevent players from literally OPing their way through the DLC your attack damage, etc will be a separate thing from your build much like Sekiro and will grow based upon the bosses you kill. This will make it challenging and fun for those that are high ranked.

Little is know about the main boss, Messmer the Impaler, except that he is the child of Marika and brother of Malenia, etc. There is speculation on the father.

@Fucking Dustin you getting psyched? I might try and get another playthrough in before it comes out.

The big rumor I keep seeing is that Messmer is Melina. Not sure if that's part of the VaatiVidya video (I need to watch it still)

I'll probably do a randomized playthrough soon just to get back in the soulslike zone after playing Yakuza for so long (just finished)

 

He doesn't mention that and pretty much confirms what I said. This is all directly from his video but the fact that he can get all that from a 3 minute video is insane.

 

Oh, and you do access the DLC through the egg/cocoon. No spoilers on it's location for those that haven't played of course.

 

Not to spoil your fun, but I don't think he got all that from the trailer so much as just summarizing what's been announced by From and Miyazaki in various articles post-trailer release.

 

I mean that is a no brainer if you have watched any of his videos. He is very open in the fact that he has combed through countless videos, interviews and even gets material sent to him from FromSoftware and Miyazaki. So I am sure he has more to share but cannot do so for legal releases.

He’s great at connecting dots people frequently overlook or assume are just things like assets being reused (and hey sometimes they are)

 

@Fucking Dustin its been a second. In Sekiro, do you take a weapon from the boss or is it more of an essence type thing?

 

You get an essence/memory and if you use it at the shrine you get the strength stat increase

 

That’s what I’m really curious about as well, are the increases after beating bosses automatic or are they something you consume to activate?

 

Ok, I am assuming that is where they are going with the DLC. Plus the 8 different weapon types will be cool to play around with, The shield spear combo is 100% going to be there for to use. It looks dope.

Helldivers 2 rocks, I love every time I get air strike’d by my bros

 

some dude was playing with randoms on helldivers 2 and I guess when they were about to leave the level one of the players ended up killing the rest of the team including him

now the whole internet is terrorizing that dude all over crazy

Watching the new Hideo Kojima doc on Hulu - he’s such a weird and interesting person. I’d definitely recommend people give this a watch if they’re at all interested.
