Played through Sea of Stars this past week and enjoyed it. HLTB shows average playtime close to 30 hours but I rolled credits in under 22. I do wish the combat would’ve evolved a bit more as the game went on and that the true ending wasn’t tied to a collect-athon quest, but those are my only really gripes. I thought the story and characters were good, with Garl being the highlight, and the visuals and music were some of the best in class.

Now I think it’s finally time to jump into Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.

Game was a ton of fun, but couldn’t find anyone to join my partner or would answer my SOS. It took me some, but still completed the missions!

 

Genuinely surprised no one is talking about the fact that Skull And Bones actually got released.

This FF7R final boss battle is the most annoying shit I’ve ever played

 

SFV general story has nice cutscenes but it feels so disjointed because you're only a character for a single match and sometimes it's not even clear who you'll be / whether you'll be on the left or right.

Character stories are essentially more focused, with 2-3 matches and actually detailing the backstory for the character.

I've been doing a bit of arcade, though. It's really interesting how there are different tracks each based on a previous entry in the series, with endings for the characters based on the respective game.

There's like so much voice acting between the two story modes, it's honestly really impressive. I'm not like super into fighters so haven't tried a lot of franchises but I love that after MK9 this seems to be more the norm. Probably my only gripe is the general story was technically a free dlc you had to get from Steam (and afaik the base game didn't even have arcade mode upon release).

 

I literally stopped playing and YouTubed the ending lol

 

I think I got halfway through and died and then they put me back at the very beginning. I switched to easy and I think it took me a fourth of the time to get back to where I was lol.

 

28 hours into Infinite Wealth now, feeling stronger and stronger that this is very good
