It's wholesome really.

 

Just fresh off my mind was the part of helping the rabbits once they came down to explore around town and talking to the scientists and engineers. Giant ass red circle of where the mission objective is, which is "help the people" and there's 8bpeople to talk to, but in order to unlock their chat prompt you have to find a separate NPC to point you in that direction. So have to find 16 unmarked (on map) NPCs. It was just a slog in what felt like the stakes just prior to that were starting to amp up.

 

Exactly what I was thinking of hahahaha

A shame too cuz the scene right after was incredible

That quest line was so bad and boring. It slowed the pace you were on down to the speed of a comatose snail. Only time in the series I asked myself WHAT AM I DOING hahaha. Luckily immediately after the hype resumed. But damn.

 

Also a rare moment where I was seriously questioning Soken on the music decision. That extremely abrasive song with that super short loop playing the whole time over that quest was so grating and did not help one bit

 

I've been obsessing with the idea of buying a Steamdeck since November and can't get it out of my mind today.

Someone convince me to not buy one

Yeah! I dunno what was up with song was but it def didn't help the situation. I seriously got so frustrated at the whole thing but was trying to finish the base of EW yesterday so I really pushed myself through that bit. Glad tho, that was a fun ending.

How does Elden Ring play on it??? Looking to replay it again, but yearning for handheld for it.

 

Pretty well, I did a good amount of my level 1 run on it and it was very smooth

 

same same same. but I also just want to build a PC so it’s an ongoing struggle of what to do first.

 

I accepted a new job this week and it’s coming with a very nice sign on bonus as I’m a returning employee.

Granted, my hot water heater died last night and I had to schedule a replacement. Priorities I guess!!!
