I remember when I was hoping we get a crazy activision/blizzard gamepass backlog for BC

now all I’m hoping for is absolutely nothing lol

This is insane. Also Palworld and Microsoft going into business together? (Well sort of)

 

FFXIV on Xbox requires game pass, on top of the subscription to the game. That sucks

 

Open Beta Wednesday. Will check it out. New users only who have never played FFXIV before unfortunately.

 

Are Microsoft due to be having a showcase or anything any time soon? Surely they have to come out with a statement or something soon. Currently the speculation is just escalating to insane lengths and will be doing irreparable damage to their brand.

Fully expect a Schreier-bomb in the next couple of days as well.

That’s true. A lot of people have like years of game pass due to how the system worked

but $20+ a month in total for an MMO is steep.

 

Plus having the onetime charge of buying the game itself

 

It also looks like the first beta wave is exclusively for people who don’t previously have a XIV account

 

Stellar Blade and Rise of the Ronin are PS Exclusive no? So I don’t get that tweet then

 

Those are only first party because PlayStation is publishing those games. None of their studios have announced games for this year as far as I know.

 

Sony usually doesn’t have their studios announce games until they’re relatively close to coming out, I’m sure we’ll be getting more info on a lot of their studios soon.

And yeah Microsoft has more stuff this year as of now because they’ve bought a shit ton of studios. And even then, is it just Avowed/Indiana Jones/Hellblade that’s actually confirmed for this year?

 

Sony has Silent Hill...oh wait

 

Kinda bummed on the xbox stuff. Still on a one x until there's more this gen I wanna play than starfield and an apparently bad forza game, but I figured eventually I'd get a series X or whatever's after that. I like the controller the best by far and have never owned a Sony console (though I borrowed my brother's ps4 to play TLOU2). If there aren't going to be exclusives I can't see why I'd buy an Xbox again. I guess in a way this is good news for just buying a PS6 or whatever but it's still weird.

 

First party wise, yeah there isn’t much as of now because they all just put out games recently. As far as exclusives as of now:

Helldivers 2
FF7 Rebirth
Rise of the Ronin
Stellar Blade
Silent Hill 2 (probably will be bad)

So if anything they’re pretty equal in output this year lol
