Digital > Physical

They just need the change the rules for digital ownership

 

I don’t know why I’m randomly thinking of these games and I’m probably the only one that would want it, but I’d kill for a Metal Gear Acid 1 & 2 port to Switch. Maybe I’ll get lucky and they’ll add them to Vol. 2 of the Master Collection, but I don’t think that will happen in a million years

 

I mean, they included Snake's Revenge, so who knows what the future holds?

 

I actually didn’t know that was on there. Maybe they could just do a whole PSP collection. I wouldn’t be mad about Portable Ops getting a remaster too.

 

Physical til the day I die. Especially if it's a cool LE or CE.

Same as collecting vinyl, I prefer actually owning physical media I can hold.

(Also a multiple console owner, no PC)

 

Who knows. I could see it going either way, Konami could milk this for a third collection or just dump the rest of the games in the second. I just hope they also include Ghost Babel.

 

Backpack Hero is very average.

 

I think that might be the only one I’ve never played and I actually forgot about it. Just give us all of them!

 

I'm fairly certain you have to the disc in order to purchase it, I wouldn't think you have to redownload it to buy the upgrade, it should just be on the PS store page. BUT I think you will have to have the disc in in order play the PS5 version.

I have a digital ps5 but wish I had a disc tbh. Would love to just pick up used games for cheaper or sell games I don’t plan on ever playing again.

 

You can fight going digital but in the end they will make it almost impossible to play the discs. Plus, retailers won’t sell them anymore. Best Buy is done and it’s only a matter of time before places like Target and Walmart follow. GameStop is hanging on for dear life. It’s inevitable.

 

Best Buy only stopped selling movies, not games. That’s been misreported so many times.

 

For now…

 

I’m honestly surprised Best Buy still have physical stores and aren’t completely online.

 

Best Buy has expanded what they sell to so much stuff outside of electronics, they’re probably fine

 

They don’t do something any other store does. You can get every single product they sell at another store and for cheaper.

 

Amazon will prob be the last bastion for selling everything physical and I think I even that'll lady a while, as long as physical gets made they'll carry it.

 

Best Buy is dead to me after they ditched Blu Ray/UHD

 

Amazon and the big box stores like Costco, BJ’s and Sam’s Club

Alongside Target and Walmart

 

Unfortunately and I hope I'm wrong but I could see big box getting rid of physical within a decade. Depends on the console manufacturers and how much they push digital only consoles :[

 

All physical for switch and my old consoles like ps3, gba, and DS/3DS but only some physical for ps5 and all digital on pc

 

Once again, digital won't be a problem if people advocate for better solutions for digital ownership and trade/return policies.
