Going to play it when I get home from work. Pre-downloaded it earlier this week.

 

I liked it. Definitely more Doom 2016 than older boom shoot. I remember having a few small gripes about it but I enjoyed it for the most part

 

Blades of Fire, Mercurysteam's soulslike has a demo out on all platforms now.

Except Steam that is.

I would love if Square contracted with the Expedition 33 team to make a FFX remake.

this studio is toast.

 

Parky played the Lies of P DLC early and met the director (they watched her dance pad run loooool)

 

I think I saw a clip of dance pad one screen game controller another at the same time, bonkers

 

Elaborate.

 

it's mid as fuck in a year full of bangers

it has two main stand out mechanics:

weapon forging: in some weird long ass mini game you gotta make sure your weapon is the highest quality. it's like what if the alchemy in atelier was dogshit

directional hits: basically your imagine your face buttons on your controller are a torso, and depending on which button you press that's where you hit the enemy. then enemies have random like resistances against specific weapons so you end up cycling weapons before every encounter until their outline is green.

also the graphics are neither good enough to be good nor bad enough to be stylish. the level design is also not really anything to write home about. the music is fucking awful and overbearing.

the only good thing is your fake-Atreyus sidekick who is at the very least non-binary.
also it costs 10 bucks more than Clair Obscur lmfao

oh yeah and it's exclusive to the epic store on PC, the famous strategy to make something relevant and successful.

 

In a 2008 Bombcast they talk about the Gears movie “now” having a director and writer attached to it

 

Do you remember who it was? I feel like I remember the last director attached not giving me any hope. But I could be mixing this up with a million other video game movies they try to make. lol

 

No but they were positive because apparently the director made some good action movies at the time and the writer was a writer on Tokyo Drift lol

It's a shame this game doesn't actually exist since it's not on Steam.
