It helps with tempered expectations, Epic and Obsidian have big stuff to show off most likely. Nintendo will probably have something as well.

My main question is if Epic is gonna show off their new store at the Game awards considering how tight Geoff was/is with Valve.

 

God of War was always fun, but when you get to the point where you get your chains & blades, holy fuck.

 

I just wanted a shotgun with a chainsaw attachment in God Of War. 0/10.

 

Don’t act like that hasn’t been the single greatest thing to happen to video games since parallax scrolling

 

The slow pace of RDR is definitely not for everyone but I’d argue it’s essential to the story they told. I wouldn’t change a thing about it.

 

I have mixed feelings about The Game Awards. On one hand, wooooo announcements. On the other hand, it trying to "legitimize" itself and all the advertisements and stuff are so cringey. Last year a game developer I follow on Twitter said the after party was completely sponsored by McDonalds and the entire place smelled like burgers and how hilarious/awful it was

 

I mean all award shows are shit

The store announcement had "More details on upcoming game releases will be revealed at The Game Awards this Thursday, December 6th." so we'll at least know some of its offerings on Thursday.

 

I like TGA as an event but solely for the increased reliance on new trailers/announcements. It's becoming one of the most consistent places for a huge influx of new stuff shown off outside of E3 and that's always a fun time. It absolutely takes away from what I assume Keighley's goal, to make a "legitimate" gaming awards show but each year it comes across more and more like a two hour ad reel and I'm fine with that. Show me a bunch of new stuff and I'll tune in, why not.

I started with 5, one of the starting songs is a really nice Rivers in the Desert mix

 

I played a bit of 5 and a bit of the 4 download. Both are GREAT so far. Last Surprise remix on 5 is perfect

 

I had no idea persona was out, another game I don’t have enough time for

 

wait the dance persona game is out?
