I don’t have any homework this weekend so I can play video games and all I’m going to play is fortnite and watch the Smite World Championship.

 

lol got killed by Shroud in Black Ops was my team against his at the end.

My buddy slightly stream sniped him the other night and we landed Rivertown and just got deleted haha

 

haha my buddys GF was watching his stream to see if it was actually him and his buddy was gonna try and melee kill me for last kill but I killed him. Shroud then quick scoped me to end it lol

 

Best Buy is having a pre-Black Friday sale this weekend. Picked up Ni No Kuni 2 for $20.

 

I could see them doing at PSX since all their big titles should be out by then in 2019 but who knows

 

I think the point is the next two holidays will be the really profitable ones. I also think them not going to e3 might not be a good sign with regards to the release dates of their upcoming big titlea

 

Sign of things to come with the diskless Xbox I guess

 

I dont ever want to buy a physical anything ever again

 

HiRez announced all their games are getting cross platform(besides PS4 of course) and I just made a sigh

guess it is time to play smite again

 

I prefer buying physical and the change to digital really bums me out

 

Physical=coasters

 

Physical = Trade in value


Yes I know you can't get a lot back but it still has a value.

 

The full change to digital isn’t happening anytime soon because the internet in the biggest markets remains a mess

 

I have never seen physical as a waste of space/"coasters". I like having the physical copy, especially with games that have very nice cover art. The trade in value is also good for me, considering my gaming budget is nowhere near what it used to be.

 

Also I save 10 to 15€ per new game because I buy physical

 

idk it's a great move in sustainability tho. no more plastic packaging or extra waste

 

I think there's much bigger markets than the video game market that should be targeted for sustainability IMO

 

Servers aren’t exactly great for the environment either. I don’t know the math but neither option is exactly green I’d guess. But yes point taken. It still won’t happen anytime soon though.

 

In fact the trends regarding file sizes and internet infrastructure and services in the United States, the most important market by far, are actually more favorable to physical games than digital games in the AAA market

 

Yeah true but why not start somewhere? I agree that we're not quite there considering a lot of areas around the world/US has barely any access to stable internet so this isn't really that realistic... if we could get sales on digital games like steam or something it would be a nice idea to throw out there

 

I don't see the industry ever going completely digital, it takes out a certain demographic I feel if they do that.
