Yeah I loved Conquest

 

Something to remember is that Let's Go is a children's game

I don't think a kid cares about what features from a game 20 years ago are no longer in this new game

 

I keep waiting to hear Detective Pikachu is directed by Seth Rogen

Fallout 76 is such a mixed bag

 

Beating a boss in that game is it’s own achievement

 

Let's Go is being directly marketed towards people who play PoGo because of all the tie-ins it's going to have, i think it's perfectly understandable for older people who know the old games (and also play PoGo) to be annoyed at this game.

 

i used to be hyped about fallout 76 but the lack of narrative or lore kinda turns me off. i'll still play, but it's a bummer

 

I mean the Switch is nowhere near the 3DS so keep that in mind, though I’m sure it’ll do well

 

The thing is, all Pokemon games are perfectly enjoyable and finishable even for little kids. The way those games scale is part of the brilliance.

The first game I ever beat was Pokemon Yellow when I was 6, they really didn't need to make these games easier lol

One of the biggest drawbacks of the game is the lack of NPCs, you have this lush and vibrant world but it’s pratically empty minus the enemies. The story is told through holotapes and it just feels distant and cold.

 

Yeah and bethesda's initial concept was that the community would produce the environment and become the npcs through forced voice chat but that's super naive because everyone just wants to troll the fuck out of each other. i don't think they thought about the 13 year olds constantly spamming the n word

 

I think the no NPC idea was very short sighted. Like every MMO under the sun has them so what gives? It reminds me a lot of how Destiny is, lush environments that are empty and it comes off as isolating.

 

for sure. Destiny is super fun but it does not feel like an MMO at all.. same with the Division. i think WoW had the right balance of social interactions. just blows my mind how they didn't want NPCs especially how fun the fallout characters are.

 

at least Fallout has a huge and detailed world to explore compared to Destiny
