Let's Go annoys me so much because I'd be down for a proper Kanto remake on Switch, but because of this we will never get one

 

I don't have a problem with Pokemon spin-off games, it's just that this one seems to make a lot of odd mistakes in their quest to simplify things. Also, if this does well, I frankly don't trust them to not let it bleed into the main games, which would be a little bit of a tragedy for me personally. I already wasn't happy with some of the things they did in Sun/Moon in that regard.

 

Tbh I just wish Gen 8 came out first or came out at the same time, otherwise I don't care at all hahaha. I'd be cool with a spin off and a core game alternating every other year as long as the core game is actually a core game (or at least a remake of an older game and not "black2" or "ultramoon" etc).

 

that i understand. if it helps there will never be a day that there isn’t a Kanto remake every ten years and one of those is bound to be a proper remake lol

To be fair Black/White 2 were quite different, they might actually be my favourite Pokemon games

 

I feel that, but I wouldn't wanna be excited for a new generation just to get black/white 2 after Pokemon Go and before Pokemon Let's Go for example

In fairness I haven't played Black2/White2 because of not being too fond of Black/White haha but regardless I just wouldn't want resources that could be used to expand the universe to be used solely to recreate games through either enhanced versions or Let's Go Versions without giving an actual new Pokemon game too

 

I hardly ever play games twice, but I've played through gen 1-6 of Pokémon at least 3 times each(and 7 twice). It's been my favourite game series since I was 6, I don't want it to go to shit because nostalgia money lol

 

the only reason i don’t think they’ll let it bleed into the main games is because having two somewhat distinct, separate entities under one franchise that both sell well looks better as a publicly traded company imo. it’s not like the main series titles will ever slow down in sales. if it ain’t broke don’t fix it etc etc

 

I just now remembered I have Nintendo stock and I take everything back, crank out those nostalgia bucks

 

and i know The Pokémon Company itself isn’t publicly traded but Nintendo itself has a real reason to keep both series healthy and separate imo

 

i have no problems with switching things up for the off-year yearly pokemon game and i even have no real problem with go-ifying and simplifying that game, they're just making a lot of off-putting choices in let's go that make me have no interest in it and they were already on a weird path with the mainline games and sun/moon. i'm not interested in let's go but i have no problem with it existing right now, i'm waiting to see if next year's "real" mainline title looks like before i judge this game and its effect on the future of the series. it probably won't change anything in the regular pokemon games but i also (now stupidly) thought that pokemon go wouldn't directly effect any proper gamefreak titles.

I'd take Pokémon Snap over Let's Go anyday

 

tbf Pokemon Go promoted a future connectivity with the Sun/Moon series since Go’s launch window. that never came to fruition and now we have this instead. so perhaps Go will be quarantined from the main games after all

 

Pokémon Snap is cool but Pokémon Conquest was stellar and i demand a follow up

 

the detective pikachu trailer made me want a gritty pokemon yakuza-like

 

They've even got rid of EVs and replaced it with Candy's? Wtf are they thinking this gets worse the more I look at it

 

You are probably right, then again a game like this one for sure is cheaper to make than a main one

Give me Persona with a Pokemon skin over it

 

I'm an interested to see how this sales. Sun and Moon sold 16 million so it's got a big target to beat

This this this alllllll the way Conquest is the most underrated Pokémon spinoff.
