Incredible when you think about it, shows that literally all anybody had to say was RDR2 jokes if it supposedly came to a halt the second everyone was ‘forbidden’ to joke about it

 

I don't really care about the opinions themselves, it's fine to like what you wanna like and not like what you wanna not like. But the whole post came across like "look how edgy I am! You're all idiots for liking what you like, here's a massive list of opinions I'm gonna make as ~scathing~ as possible, etc." which is stupid as hell. And it's not the first time it's happened in this thread from anyone and it was stupid then too.

 

I don't care who likes RDR2, like what you like, and I think the jokes about it are boring as hell but it's all so inconsequential

 

Except that’s exactly what I’ve been painted to be this entire time so I exaggerate it for the sake of humour. I literally ended that post with ‘this has been Ryan’s shit opinions’ - cos that really sounds like I’m taking it seriously.

All anybody here does is take the piss, yet the moment I mention anything I like or dislike I’m supposedly trying to be edgy. It’s baffling. I take the piss out myself and have mentioned before how I annoy myself with my preferences - I’m well aware I don’t like what the majority of you seem to. And that’s fine.

Just love how any time I don’t like something my opinion is ‘whack’, ‘edgy’, or met with a condescending snarky comeback from the clique lmao

 

It's because we all have known people who say the exact things you said so it makes it hard to believe it's for the "sake of humour". And they're all a certain type of person. So that's where it gets messy.

 

It definitely comes across incredibly condescending. Like " I don't get how you people play turn based RPGs when it's like chess", it just comes across like you feel somehow better than others that enjoy that type of game. I dunno, it might just be the way the posts are written. Between that and the Switch is just a "toy", it just feels like we're being talked down to

The whole RDR2 jokes thing has really gotten out of hand. I’ve been trying to be civil, and not address them for months now. Not only are they not funny, and they spam the thread. I do not play RDR2 anymore. I think it is a good video game, and actually do agree with those making the jokes that it’s overrated.

Though it’s verrrry annoying people keep bring up the cabinets etc, and then making comments like they’re being so edgy for still joking about it. Only one person seems to respond to the jokes in a negative way. It’s more ridiculous that they keep getting brought up for clout. They’re not a big deal, BUT THEY BECOME A BIG DEAL when those making them think they’re pissing everyone off. Ironically now I’m pissed off.

To clarify - I very definitely exaggerate my disdain of games I’m not interested in.

 

Yeah I quoted myself to add to what Joe was saying because the specific things he mentioned are the things I've seen "that type of guy" say, not necessarily the rest of it where you just said you liked or disliked certain things which is entirely fine

Yeah I don't think stopping the jokes is a hard thing to ask for tbh, there are so many games coming out all the time that look amazing, we have plenty to talk about
