Honestly you've got to feel bad for someone who can only enjoy games if it's edgy and dark

Edgy comment there, I just prefer games that are more serious in tone. I play overcooked, undertale and golf it with my gf and friends. Thanks for proving my point earlier though that you feel the need to shit on opinions that don’t align with yours...Jesus this place is condescending sometimes

Nah it's ok to not like something, I just genuinely feel bad for people that instantly dismiss games based off their bias of a certain art style. Since it results in you missing out on a lot of great games.

I don’t instantly dismiss stuff solely based on art style. I don’t have much of an interest an anime and from the sounds of it (correct me if I’m wrong) it’s turn-based gaming - which I really don’t enjoy. Stop attempting to belittle my opinions by implying this crap it’s boring.

And FYI it’s perfectly fine to not vibe with the art style of a game. Ain’t a crime

I believe he was talking about persona, which is the only mention of art style I made in my post! Don’t play dumb please I never said Switch only has anime games and you know that

I've just read on Apknite that now chains like Gamestop and such are going downhill and the local game store in my area closed down but I am wondering something. Would a retro game store have success in the future? We have local comic shops and tabletop stores that thrive and I'm wondering if that could happen if it was just retro games that were being sold? Maybe as a combo with comics and tabletop?

Not every game with an anime or unrealistic art style is turn based. Also not all turn based fire emblem. You constantly moan about how there's no new games that you want to play, but instead of trying something new you show off here that you don't like certain things instead. Idk what you want us to say when you've said the same ignorant comment for the 1000th time.

Also you can't call anyone edgy because your comments about Nintendo are the most 12 year old edgelord shit ever lmao

I’m literally referring to Persona. You know that. I don’t show off I don’t like things at all. If I mention a game I enjoy you go off on jokes about me being edgy or it’s RDR2 jokes again. The hypocrisy here is incredible

There we go again - don’t agree so let’s insult lmao Christ.

I called your comment edgy as a direct response of you calling me edgy...

I think they kinda saw a resurgence until the release of the retro mini consoles. Not sure how well they did, but I know with the PS1 mini it was on sale pretty damn quick. The GameStop vid someone posted the other day where they had retro gaming stations was cool, but ultimately just serve as a place to hang out rather than invest money into them.

    Here are my hot takes:

    - Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the best games I've ever played - it's just so damn immersive
    - Days Gone is a brilliant game and the only reason people don't LOVE it is because the reviews told them not to and they can't think for themselves
    - Devil May Cry 5 is one of the worst games I've ever played
    - The Hitman franchise never really recovered from Absolution
    - God of War is good, not great
    - The Batman: Arkham games aren't ageing very well
    - Spider-Man PS4 is a 10/10 game
    - Never played them, but the Yakuza games look like hot steaming garbage to me
    - Bernie would've beaten Trump in 2016 if he'd won the Democratic nomination

The reasons behind big-ish indie games not getting constant sequels is that the people behind them aren’t yet creatively bankrupt
