But in all seriousness who gives an eff. I’m not really excited for any games lately except tLoU part 2 and that won’t be out for AGEEEEEESSSSSSSS so all I’ve got going here is my cynical bs.

Neither platform is all that enthralling at the moment. Death Stranding will be interesting I’m sure. But eh. I’m not even that fussed about that.

 

honestly I'm stoked for PS4's stuff coming up. TLOU is one of my all time favs so ... and I have to play every Kojima game so no choice really.

 

I have MGSV downloaded but I just don’t gel with it at all. I really want to because of how open it is with the choices you make but just...idk what it is. The controls? TOO much choice? *shrugs*

Other than Part 2, all I want is a new BioShock that’s not in the damn sky and for Destroy All Humans to be released way bloody earlier

 

MGSV has too much fluff but the core game is SOLID AS A ROCK

 

MGSV would've been brilliant if 90% of the game didn't involve running around an empty desert getting from A to B

 

I loved God of War because it was an amazing game

I loved God of War. I don’t care about exclusivity. God of War was one of my favorite games this gen. Absolutely loved it, the story, how fluid the combat felt, using the axe, it all just ruled.

In Xbox news, I played some Gears 5 multiplayer over the weekend and had fun. Probably going to run through the series again and get caught up on the story

 

Days Gone was a lot of fun honestly and I’m excited to see them improve on it with a sequel

It's too unoriginal/had too many bugs to be anywhere near a 9/10

 

I mean, The Witcher 3 isn't exactly that original and it also had loads of bugs upon release, yet it's considered one of the few 10/10 games of this generation

 

And yet I think it’s wank - gotta love a good shit opinion from me though.

(Felt clunky, didn’t agree with the controls for some reason, combat was whack, also pointless me playing cos I don’t really like sword/magic/whatever games anyway)

 

I wish Witchers combat could be more like Elder Scrolls. I particularly love the stealth, spells, and archery fuckery. Also first person perspective makes those type of worlds super immersive.

The combat in Elder Scrolls is the weakest aspect of those games

 

People say Witcher 3 is a 10 because of its significance within its own genre, especially at the time. People called Days Gone mediocre because it lacked in comparison to other games in its own genre, like the current slate of Ubisoft games.

Also God of War and TLOU have virtually nothing in common besides each having an AI companion. It’s a weird comparison.
