Looking online and comparing where I am in the story, I think I'm about 75% finished with the main story of God of War. I'm enjoying it but I'm having a hard time accepting it for what it is. I feel like it was overhyped, or maybe my expectations were too high. I heard comparisons with the Last of Us and now after putting a lot of time in GoW I still of tLoU is more fun gameplaywise and storywise.

Basically = God of War is good, not great.

 

Vastly prefer tLoU. To most things.

 

Got the LEGO Bastion skin so I can retire from Overwatch now

 

the new god of war isn’t as good as people are making it out to be. It’s extremely linear, the set pieces never feel truly satisfying, the enemies and bosses are endlessly repeating and that low tier MCU level boss fight at the beginning with an almost total lack of interactivity was honestly just sad.

 

Also it still makes no sense to me that Kratos can lift a tree that easily but actually chopping it down takes him so long like is he godly strong or not HMMM idk

 

I completely agree with this. It's good, but I absolutely do not understand why some people raved about it so much.
