I have Twitter though I have basically stopped tweeting because there’s no reason to really. My Twitter feed is mostly just Hip Hop nerd shit though and I don’t look at it more than once a day. If it weren’t for the dumbed “Person Liked This” feature there’d be no bad shit in my feed. It’s all about curation. Same for Facebook, but they make it easier.

Very surprised by the positive Facebook comments. Maybe it's cause I live in the UK, but I don't really know anyone under 30 that uses it anymore. It's just 90% adverts for me. But not even good ads, things that I just don't care about. And so many auto play videos.

Twitter is a news source for me. Minute by minute updates for sports, keeping tabs with bands I like so I can easily find out about tours or albums, a tiny amount of politics stuff but mostly just so I can keep tabs on breaking stories to then go read about them elsewhere.

 

Oh the most positive thing I have about Facebook is "It's not Twitter" it's very bad hahaha

 

Even then, I see much more stuff from extreme right wing and just plain stupid people on Facebook than I do on Twitter. People share Britain First statuses more often on Facebook than I see any mention of them on Twitter. Don't get me wrong Twitter is a cesspool for that sort of thing, and their reporting for abuse/ all that sorta stuff is an embarrassment that deserves to be continually called out, but Facebook is just as bad in many cases.

I feel like Twitter as a company are just incompetent in every sense of the word, whereas I feel like Facebook as a company (including both the main site and Instagram but less so WhatsApp) are actively bad in a lot of ways. The way they have handled the teen suicide scandal to do with images of self harm and promoting suicidal thoughts is a downright disgrace. Teenagers are literally killing themselves because of promoted posts and very little policing of content on Insta. Yet if a nipple can be seen through a shirt, a post gets taken down.

 

Trump is big on Twitter, Twitter is worse by default lol

 

One key to a better social media experience is to not use it for news. Especially Facebook. Read the newspaper or get e-mail newsletters, but get that shit out of your feed. My Facebook is untoxic as fuck. My acquaintances and friends, and the women in the Marie Kondo Netherlands group, and the nerds in the vinyl group are really pleasant lol

Also I don’t get a lot of adds. Not sure why. I get more on Twitter.

 

I go on a different site, go on Facebook, and an ad for said site is there lol

Man Netflix is really gunning for the GoT money huh. Trailer was really cool though.

 

It's actually pretty decent and some things will be patched and there is DLC on the way. Also, the review is a "buy" according to that channel so I don't know what you guys are talking about. It's got something like a 75 on Metacritic. That hardly qualifies as bad.
