Once XCloud is announced for Switch, I'll pick one up. Haven't owned a Nintendo system since Gameboy color haha

 

Pretty neat, but I'd prefer they fix their damn joycons first

 

I’m not too familiar with the drifting thing but it sounds annoying from what I’ve seen about it.

 

It's also odd to me that it will support USB-C and wireless controllers but still can't be docked. Hardware limitations, I'm sure, but surprised they couldn't just scale down docked mode to 720p or something

 

Given that it’s 200 I’m pretty sure they didn’t want to pay for HDMI and so on, all of that stuff costs them money, I think including an HDMI port cost a console maker like 10$ to 20$ a console

 

This is definitely tailored for kids or people who just want to play games on the go. Not much reason to include that if that’s not the target audience.

 

They don't need to have an HDMI port, dock, or cable bundled in though. It's all powered through USB-C. I just think it'd be smart to allow people to place them on friends' docks or a dock they bought on their own. But in the end, it's just a lite version, doesn't really matter to me. Just seemed odd.

 

Imagine playing P3P on the blue switch lite and P4G on the yellow switch lite

I just wonder if a $100 difference will be a big enough differentiating factor for consumers, they're still pretty close in price. I feel like $100-150 is more appropriate

 

they can always up og switch price to 350 bucks

i feel like 100 is a good (not great) price difference and it’s def for kids or adults who are absolutely sure they’d only play handheld

It would be smart. Makes it feel like you're really getting a big savings with the Lite version

 

I think $200 is a steal for this, personally. Especially if someone doesn't already have an OG Switch.

 

I can’t remember if I put it in this thread or not but I would really consider giving my brother my OG switch and using this instead.

 

I already think $300 is a good price for the Switch so $200 is basically highway robbery
