Took a break from RDR2 to play some BLOPS 4, and man is it fun. Haven’t played a CoD since MW2.

 

Couldn't give a shit about SC, but this is rad.

Got my Xbox One X today with the trade in deal! I got the very last one of the 3 stores in my city. It was the one that came with NBA2k19 instead of State of Decay 2 but whatever. Also got RDR2. Pumped!

 

Geralt and her being in SC makes me want it now

I too got the X, I plugged it in, got everything setup, went to the 4K settings on the Xbox and then there's something in the last column to check the settings or whatever. Everything had yellow warning signs saying 4K gaming works, but HDR and everything else didn't. I spent a lot on my TV to have all those things so I was very confused. Spent about 15 minutes Googling some stuff and realized how many settings I needed to change on my TV before it would be true 4K and HDR.

 

Also, is the horse ball thing true, or is that just a weirdo gamer meme?

 

Yeah apparently that is not as easy as it sounds. I don't have a 4K/HDR TV but I've only heard bad things about setting them up, haha.

 

Rtings.com will give you all the good calibration advice for your make and model

Why wouldn't GameStop take it. Are you US based now or something?

 

Yeah I moved to LA last year. Got a new PS4 pro in the us for red dead and trying to declutter my life a bit

They acknowledged that even though they will work they don’t accept them just in case. Called a few mom and pop stores but they’ll only have them if they were EU exclusive

 

Even though you can play UK games on a US system, you can't then buy dlc on the US store for the game. Think that has a lot to do with why they won't take them.

 

I tried to do this but in reverse. Gamestop in Germany wouldn't accept my game because it was US version. Something about the "barcode". Whatever the reason it's lame.

 

Current generations aren’t region coded I believe so it shouldn’t be an issue but if it’s older gens then you could run into some problems.

 

Damn, I'd love a physical copy of DA:I but I've got it digital. Decisions! Those are some gooooooood games!

It's weird because I bought my X before the 4K TV. When I got the TV, I went to the settings same as you expecting to have to alter a bunch and everything was green and good to go. I was like.....that was easy.
