Fair enough, but all of that is industry stuff and that's not what I was referring to. I mean actual "this is what the game is like" stuff.

Also the annualization problem is chronically is overrated, because all allegedly annualised franchises (except for sports games) are actually comprised of games with regular development cycles made by a variety of teams. Just because there is a game every year with the same brand slapped onto it doesn't really mean anything beyond that. Assassin's Creed is the best example of this. Thats series underwent plenty of pretty big changes.

 

to be fair it underwent it's most substantial and well received changes after it dropped the annual release cycle
