The map they showed looks like a carbon copy of the map style from the Metroid Prime games so in a way they did lol

 

all of this is known, they talked about it in Game Informer.

But good game structure won't save the shoddy gameplay they showed.

that sounds like my kinda game. I'll play just about any metroidvania as long as Dan doesn't recommend it to me.

 

I did remember, I ranked the DS games and put 2 at #1 and you asked me why and I said PVP

 

yes you are absolutely right, showing that boring linear level they did did that game no favors.

 

(I totally see a case where someone's favorite fromsoft game could be 2)

 

PVP is that case trust me

 

I played 15 minutes of dark souls and I never played any from software game after that

That’s why I still buy physical as much as I can. As convenient as it would be to have an all digital switch, I carry all my game cards with me

 

Technically this game would be a Metroid-like, not a Metroidvania.

 

Since when do people disslike the idea of something playing like Uncharted? I mean, I personally think Uncharted-like gameplay is one of the worst things to happen to AAA video games since games went 3D, but I was always the exception lol

Also what did peoplee expect anyway? That’s exactly what I would have a guessed how this game would play and look like.

 

It's not that it plays like Uncharted, but that it feels like it's structured like Uncharted, which gets away with it because of the production values, which Star Wars in this case just does not have.

 

Star Wars doesn’t have the production values of Uncharted? I played that Batlegrounds 2 campaign. Whatever one thinks of that one, it was obvious they spent some god damn money.

 

Not shots at anyone here, but I think this little detail is exactly why I, unlike most, like so few non-Nintendo AAA games

 

RDR2 is the worst thing to happen to games since they went 3D

 

Writing and performances still weren’t at that level. Money can only fix so much.

 

It is true that mechanically a lot of triple A games are lackluster and they try to make up for that with “production value” or story. This is precisely why I don’t care for telltale games.
