Honestly unlikely, especially if it's one of the first generations. I usually see them go for the mid $100s online used

I just am not sure I can justify a new intermediate system right now when I know they're already working on the next generation. I'm already so impressed by how everything is running and looking that I don't really feel that compelled to get it. Is it really that big of a step up to get a One X or a Pro?

No. 4K games will be pressed into a 1080p resolution, which means they look sharper than regular 1080p games (plus a lot of games don’t even hit 1080p in the regular Xbox). Also, they run better (or some games let you pick between 4K/30 and 1080p/60 for example, like the Witcher 3) the draw distance is better and so on and so forth. I have a 1080p TV still and the difference is still significant.

See above. The One X is definitely a big step up provided the game has been enhanced. It’s night and day sometimes. If it’s worth it to you is another story of course, the games are the same in the end, they just run and look better.

 

So for $200 you get an Xbox One X (1TB or 500GB?) State of Decay, and RDR2? Sounds good to me. I have a One S so I think it's even less ($150 total).

 

All that being said, it’s hard to say how many years you’ll get out of a One X at this point. I could see the next consoles launch in late fall 2020. Some say 2019 but I don’t really see that happening.

i think it's 1tb.. i think i'm going to do it. trade in my Xbox One S + 1st Gen Xbox to get a 1TB Xbox One X. seems like a good deal and I never use my 1st gen xbox anymore.

i'm trying to figure out if they're strict about the $300 limit. it seems like it depends on the store

Same, I like to think I'm a pretty nice person in real life, so I like to do the opposite in video games and just be as evil as possible. I was always a sucker for getting the full devil horns in Fable and all that or going full Sith in KOTOR.
