oh man looks like we dipped into quite an agreement here.

 

The Witcher is now the gaming equivalent of Muse to me. My one friend during what Americans would refer to as ‘high school’ would not stfu about Muse and it made me loathe them beyond belief. Now any time I hear them mentioned I wince. Sounds like noise opera to me.

I feel that with the majority I’m too much of a basic bitch to want to do all this inventory management and lore stuff. Streamline that crap for my pathetic vanilla needs. I don’t really engage with skilltrees and all that. I don’t wanna build a character. I just wanna be immersed.

Whereas I think some games lack depth by not being RPGs and would be improved with some RPG elements lol

 

it's a 2d roguelike with incredible build variety and some metroidvania element and extremely satisfying and crunchy combat.
bloodborne talk reminded me that it also has the mechanic that you can recover some damage by hitting people after you were damaged.

Pahah I was tasked with running through dungeons for her because she was too scared. Every time I got to an enemy I’d hand it her and wait half an hour for her to do that turn-based combat. I fell asleep like three times.

Oh god Thief was so bad

 

She doesn’t like the music and I think if you don’t attack first then the enemy team gets to have a turn first? Idk. It’s like you swing your blade at an enemy and think you’re gonna have this cool real-time combat and you get taken into a bunch of menus and what looks like a shit board game immediately...I don’t personally get how she can enjoy that but to each their own.

 

Good Thief’s exist, just not in the modern era lol

 

I only played it because I was free with my PS4 but I still paid too much for that shit

 

The ones that do are 3, 4, Rogue, Origins, and Odyssey.

I played Rogue! I thought it was good and appreciated having a functional AC game to play while they fixed Unity lol

 

Origins has hardly any navel Combat though.

 

Yes but when it does have it, it completely kills the pacing every time lol so I’m including it
