Unity’s open world atmosphere building is almost unparalleled

oh my god, I'm back on my bullshit Prestigious

I just found Unity really boring, I really tried. I did eventually play it after Origins though. Hard to compare to Origins

the list of games I'd rather play than RDR2 is longer than the ones I wouldn't, I'll say that for sure.

Yeah that’s what’s alarming for me hahah.
I mean now that I’ve got 100% on it, sure. But I personally have never felt so immersed in a videogame world other than in Rapture and Limbo. You couldn’t get me off Red Dead at all. Not for anything. I’d play another game and I’d get annoyed and irritable that I wasn’t playing that.

I fully understand how it might not appeal to some folk in terms of it being drawn out but that was part of the enjoyment for me.

The sheer amount of detail and depth to it blew me away. One of the first few games where I could just get lost discovering all these side-stories hidden in the world. Adored it and I’m hoping come Halloween that there may be something in the vein of Undead Nightmare 2 available. Let’s face it - the online aspect is a failure thus far, despite how much I enjoy the competitive matches. It can’t be what GTA Online was and they need to stop trying to make it that.

you realize that more people feel like you than they do like me? like that game has like, what, 97 on metacritic?
    haha

I'm just more of a mechanics/systems guy when it comes to games and in that regard I found RDR2 to be completely unsatisfying. but the first 2 or so hours of that game were magical and not an experience I want to miss.

User score is only 8 though

it has a 97 critics score because it's made my Rockstar

Oh I know lol. Just conversing. I’ve had an incredible experience with it and I’m genuinely interested as to why you haven’t. And now I know! So cheers. I do agree that it can feel clunky and that, but it didn’t irk me as much as it clearly did you. I understand!

Same but instead of unsatisfying I would use nauseating

I’ll say the same when Cyberpunk comes out lol. Certain companies can do no wrong apparently...especially when you bring on Keanu. Real talk tho I can’t stand Witcher lol.

The Witcher 3 is a crime against humanity tbh

I think Witcher 3 is both a great game and a very overrated game

There will be a bias definitely but not to the extent of the Rockstar bias.

I erm I didn’t play it because it didn’t look like a big enough improvement from 3 at the time. And now it’s too late for me to go back.

    yes.

You can’t go anywhere without someone getting on their knees for CDPR, and acting as if they’re the only ones that feel it.

I hate RPGs. I fucking love Bloodborne. My god that game. And yet I still haven’t finished it. Still pining for a sequel tho. Give me more gothic shit to play.
