I was going to hold off getting red dead till Xmas but I've just seen the overtime I'm getting in this months paycheck so looks like I'll be cowboying it this weekend now.

 

Hmmm...I'm nearing the end of my basement reconstruction after a flood which is where my 4k TV lives. May wait to play RDR2 until I get that TV back up and running.

 

I wanna read that RDR2 review on Kotaku but I would also have to call out of work to do so.

 

For others confused about the Red Dead tech numbers, this is the conclusion:

Xbox One X > PS4 Pro > PS4 > Xbox One

As is often the case really.

Plus those of you with the base Xbox One however still will play a better running game than RDR1 was on the 360.

I'm trying to keep all my multiplayer games to Xbox One since I'd rather just pay for one online service and Xbox has better online games imo, so I guess I'll get RDR2 for Xbox, even though i doubt I'll actually ever play it online.

 

Game still looks pretty good on the base xbox one. Will keep the console.

 

shit i wonder if i should trade in my gen 1 xbox one and my xbox s to get an xbox X. or just wait until cyber monday/black friday deals

 

I mean unless you get attached to objects like me I would recommend trading those two in for the One X asap

 

Gamestop has a deal for trade ins. I believe the current deal is $250 for an xbox one s and $200 for an original One. Also there's a $100 off an xbox one x if you by it with red dead.

Damn. I'm tempted to trade my Xbox One in and upgrade to the One X.

 

The Digital Foundry video shows an insane difference in quality. I'm hoping my base ps4 holds up well enough. I also have a base xb1 but the resolution for RDR on that looks pretty rough

I'd only get $200 for my Xbox One trade in. Which would let me get the One X and RDR2 for $360. Hmmmm.

I wonder if I could sell my One for more than 200.

 

Just so I that I fully understand, the PS4 Pro or the Xbox X are only worth it if you have a fancy TV, right?
