I want to play RDR2, but I'm in no rush. I've still got a load of games from this year that I really want to play that I need to catch up on.

Gonna snag RDR2 for PS4. Gonna be super tempting to pick up this week but might hold out til Black Friday and snag that ish on the cheap.

Plus my son is going to be born any day now.

the leaked rdr2 footage I’ve seen looks incredible

The footage i've seen and the talk about it in here make me very eager to pick it up. I am a huge fan of sprawling maps/action-adventure games, and I guess for whatever reason I didn't know that RDR was the type of game it was. AC: Black Flag, AC: Origins, GTA: San Andreas, and GTA: V are the absolute best experiences i've had with that style and this looks like it could top them all. Just hope I like the controls.

Also I have a PS4 pro and a 4k TV so I am beyond ready for my eyes to melt. But I may wait until Black Friday weekend to see if a deal comes up for it. Unlikely, but you never know.

 

Yeah I feel like you could tell that happened the most on Halo: Guardians. That game was just sort of okay. Hopefully the next one they take time and get back to basics. It’s been like three years and we are still a year out from release, so I feel like they’ve eased off the throttle finally

 

AC origins is my current obsession and am trying to get through it ASAP so i can put the newest one on my holiday wish list haha

my friend has a 4K TV and the 4k XB1 and playing this game on it looks like watching a movie its amazing.

I am interested in RDR as well, never played the first one but love a good open map adventure game.

 

Y’all listen to this episode? God, I love Jeff so much. Also, it was super bizarre hearing the episode open up with Ryan :(

 

Not yet, 4 hours is a lot to digest.

 

Also, is it just me or do the Beast and Bombcast seem to keep getting longer and longer?

 

Out of the footage I've seen at RDR, I think it's going to be a real gamechanger. It looks so fucking over the top good

 

I haven’t noticed that with Beast but Bomcast have been reaching 2.5hrs + on a fairly regular basis

 

fallout 76 was bomb. i had fun. minus some lag, there's potential! i didn't have to wait in queue and I didn't get disconnected. listening to tapes/reading screens for lore was a drag tho, but the events and questing with your friends is what i was excited for the most.

 

I haven't owned a console for 4+ years and only started playing a couple PC games this year. RDR is my favorite of all time, preorded the PS4 pro for it. I'm so PUMPED.

also i did not realize RDR2 was out this week lol. i thought it was next tuesday. I just got into Mexico in the first one, how far am I in the game??

 

Origins actually did make my eyes hurt at times from playing so long. So beautiful. It took me FOREVER to finish the story and visit the entire map because I am one of those that will finish a mission, be like 100 yards from a side quest at the end and be like eh, why not?

Or i'll see collectibles/viewpoints in the near distance and just keep going from one to another. Before I realize it, 3 hours pass and all i've done is swept caves and viewpoints.
