Most of what I'm looking forward to the rest of the year is on Switch tbh

 

Yeah Switch is defo place to be. Can’t wait for The Witcher 3

 

I know there are a lot of questions about how Death Stranding plays (hopefully to be answered today) but this man’s last game was MGSV, I am confident in how good the gameplay will be

 

My ps2 resurfaced in a recent house move so my brother and I played through the co-op campaign of this. Still so much fun.

 

Is Death Stranding confirmed to make an appearance at E3?

Sony isn't going to E3 this year

 

I heard they weren't having a conference, didn't know that meant no other exclusives showing, I guess that makes sense.

 

If he is able to tell the story he wants with his gameplay chops this time around, it's going to be fantastic.

 

Death Stranding will probably be my most-anticipated game of 2019 if it is indeed coming in November. Top five would be:

Death Stranding
The Outer Worlds
Pokémon Sword/Shield
Borderlands 3
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3

Honorable mention to Link's Awakening and Fire Emblem

 

Do you play on console? Playing on PC and having Borderlands 3 and Outer Worlds Epic Store timed exclusives are kind of lame. I could buy them for my ps4.

 

PS4/Switch, I have an Xbox One but never use it

 

Pretty certain death stranding will be GOTY tied with Sekiro.

 

PS4/Switch is THE combo for consoles.

 

It's going to be hard to beat Sekiro but Death Stranding could do it, and so could The Outer Worlds. Obsidian looks like they're really knocking that one out of the park.

 

I really just don’t connect with Sekiro at all. I’m not very good at it, which is probably the core of it, but the character, setting, fighting and idk. Just not for me. The only From Software game I’ve played is Bloodborne and I adored the gothic horror vibes and Lovecraftian kinda vibes and gameplay. Just cannot enjoy Sekiro in anywhere near the same fashion.

 

My most anticipated games are probably:

Rune Factory 4
Links Awakening
Death Stranding

So 4/5 Switch lol

 

Sekiro is incredible but I currently hate it

 

Idk took me 10 hours to even like it. Thought it was utter trash at first.

 

I'm excited to play that, but likely going to wait for a steam sale. Me and my friends got back into Minecraft in a big way, and that usually takes a month or so to blow over.

 

I don’t think I could sit through 10 hours of it to get to that point. I regret buying it to be honest. Probably should’ve watched some gameplay prior.

 

Did you like the previous from games? What is it you don’t like?

 

That’s the thing. I really can’t put my finger on it. It’s a combination of the fighting and how drawn out it can be, frustration at its difficulty, lack of interest in the story and erm. I’m not quite sure. Bloodborne was the only other one I’d played, and while I adored the gothic horror stuff, the gameplay and design still felt incredibly dated. With Bloodborne I could look past it because of those elements being so strong, (though again the story had zero hold on me whatsoever). Sekiro feels the same in regards to being dated.

I guess I’m after a less...Japanese game? Might sound ridiculous - I’m not on about the setting and I actually live in Japan now. I mean like in the sense of it being more modernised in terms of gameplay mechanics and inventories etc. The way characters even move in From games seems silly. There’s just a lot going on that bothers me with them. I overlooked it with Bloodborne but can’t with Sekiro as there’s not enough I enjoy with it to compensate for that.

 

So are we thinking this Death Stranding stream will get going in 26 minutes? That'll be midnight in Japan.
