It’s summer for me so time to say I’ll play video games but never do

 

oh no i’ve been avoiding this website for a long long time. don’t want to click and get lost in that again

 

Been slow gaming lately so I decided to sign up for the Xbox Game Pass since it's only $3 for 3 months. Such a great decision. So far I've played some games that I never wanted to buy but wanted to play.

Tacoma - Loved it. One of those walking sim games but in space, which I'm a total sucker for.

Gears of War 4 - Been awhile since I've played Gears. Took a few hours to get back into the game play, ended up enjoying it a lot more than I imagined.

Alien Isolation - I'm not far at all on this yet, so far I absolutely love the atmosphere and I'm excited to jump into it more.

Wolfenstein New Order - Man this game is fucking great. I got Wolfenstein II when it came out because of the positive reviews and enjoyed it, especially the story. I wasn't a huge fan of the game play so I decided not to go back to the first one. Now that I'm playing the first one I feel like the game play is a lot better. I'm not dying left and right, the locations and level design are cool and the story is engaging. Super impressed with this game and it's 5 years old. Totally stands up to time.

 

Alien Isolation was fucking excellent and criminally underrated. Read such painfully moronic reviews for it and did not understand it at all. Got the plat for that and damn. Just yes. Nightmare mode is horrifying. Been so long since a game made me feel that tense. And not just because of the damn alien. The bloody androids have a nasty habit of creeping behind you, grabbing you by the shoulder and saying ‘YOU AREN’T SUPPOSED TO BE HERE’ haha. Adore that game. Use headphones!

 

Alien: Isolation is the best Alien video game ever. Will never forgive Gearbox for Aliens: Colonial Marines, that trailer was so good and they lied about it. Just another reason to not buy Borderlands 3.

 

Alien: Isolation is easily one of the best games this generation.

 

It sounds like fun but I couldn't do competitive play. I get heated when a boss max heals for the first time after I've healed like 10 times already, I couldn't imagine all the stress you'd get from other people max healing

 

You can't use items in competitive. Hold items only.

 

The first reason not to buy it is because it's Borderlands.

Idk how anyone can pick up Borderlands in good conscience.

 

I've only played Borderlands 2 but I got bored so quick. Couldn't understand why so many people love it lol

 

I’m not really a fan, but I played about half of 2 or a little more, and I’d say it feels good and the loop is solid. I can see it.

 

Think I got 10-15 hours in. Everything felt like a chore, I just don't get it.

 

I mean yeah that’s part of the appeal, like an MMO lol

 

Yeah I get that it's just very much not for me. Like I've never played a MMO and don't see that changing any time soon lol

ngl if the west ever got DQX I'd play that

 

Xenoblade 2 is so fucking MMO and i largely like that about it but my god FETCH QUESTS. they are everywhere

 

I can get into the required mindstate, but I try not to at this point lmao

Xenoblade 2 I didn’t think was so bad in that regard, but Torna ... whew. Not really happy with the part I’m at rn, having to raise my community by 2 ranks.

 

i think I'd just rather play all the other games that I play than invest so much time in a MMO. I get bored of things easily so it's probably not even worth trying

 

I've still never played the XC2 dlc I should right

 

I think so, the jazz version of the original Gormott music alone is worth it

 

I prefer almost everything about the DLC except for this particular part.
