Anyone play the Killzone series? I just grabbed the latest one for $4 and Horizon Zero Dawn for only $20 on the latest sale.

 

So far, I love AC:O. This is what I wanted Orgins to be.

 

Markos sucks tho

 

The new Killzone is okay, but 2 and 3, especially 2, are awesome.

 

I remember playing 3 a long time ago and enjoying it so the newish one seemed worth it for $4

 

The last boss battle in KZ2 is bullshit and I hate it

 

Black Ops 4 added competitive play in December is such a weird idea.

 

all them n00bs wanting to try competitive after christmas though

 

I love games like AC being annual... I know people think it’s too repetitive but I always like how I can slide right in without a learning curve or whatever lol

 

Honestly having a blast with BO4. Most fun I've had with a COD game in awhile. But damn I suck haha

 

I have to say I miss the landscape diversity from AC Origins

 

I have never been more disappointed with a game series then Killzone. Horizon was a breath of fresh air for the studio after Killzone.

 

Well Killzone wasn’t a passion project, it was really just forcefully created to be a Halo killer. Didn’t work of course. I’m glad that team got to move on.

 

How far have you made it? Some of the level 30+ islands diverse a bit.

 

That’s cool, looking forward to it. In Origins it changed frequently though, yet also organically, I liked that.

 

Yeah some of the later stuff on the volcanic islands is different, as well as some more fall like islands, but I agree overall.

 

I am liking Odyssey more than Origins currently. Though I did just hit my first massive level gap. My next main story mission is level 32, and I am 27. I have been plowing through the story so I do have some fun stuff to do like taking out cultists, the legendary animals etc.

 

It feels great to be so excited and see so much positive stuff about a new Assassin's Creed game again. I would say I just want to get through Origins so I can get to Odyssey, but really I'm enjoying Origins so much that I'm not even in a rush. I'm still blown away by how absolutely massive the game is.

 

I also prefer the combat in Origins, BUT this is a very cool game

 

how much different is the combat compared to origins? i’m playing through origins now and not feeling the combat, unfortunately.

 

I’ve read about level gap problems so frequently that I just got that permanent XP boost right away

 

This might change later but for now there’s no shield in Odyssey, plus I think the special powers are kind of clunky. I loved Origins’ combat, it was like Dark Souls-light haha.
