A lot of turn based battle systems are bad, but turn based battle systems themselves are no better or worse than any other to me

 

When I look back at the PS2 it’s not action games I remember fondly that’s for sure.

God of War, DMC3 and Prince of Persia were all pretty great.

Is...Wildlands worth buying? It’s super cheap on the PSN store. Never played it but it looked interesting.

Also what kind of game is Medievil even? I was always very confused

 

like a more creepy Spyro the dragon except instead of spewing fire you have a sword.

oh yeah don't mind my whining. MediEvil was awesome as hell when it came out, I'm actively rooting for them to modernize the mechanics.

Turn-based combat is great.

X-Com, and Persona 5 are great examples.

 

Having said that the combat in FFXV wasn’t the problem so I doubt the combat in VII Remake will be a problem.

 

It's just a very polarizing game mechanic i'd say.
