I am currently rocking the Switch only and I couldn't be happier.

 

I loved them all until Conviction haha.

I remember buying the collectors edition of Conviction and there was a quote by Maxime Belland in the art book that was like “The Sam Fisher you knew is dead. Long live the new Sam Fisher!”

You son of a b, you’re the one who killed him (though he was under instruction of Ubisoft to make it more casual and easier for new audience)

 

I am REALLY liking Days Gone. It's not a breakthrough like HZD or RDR2 but the environments are nice, the gameplay is sleek, the story is enough to keep me attached and the main character is my sale-Daryl Dixon.

The reviews could have been justified if there anything gamebreaking, there are bugs sure but most games are like that. It doesnt justify sound crapping out but it's not enough to ruin my experience. Hopefully it keeps up though otherwise this will change.

Both, because that’s what it is ;D I don’t count either of those two consoles to any gen though because at that point the whole gen house of cards will collapse thoroughly.

But yeah, Botw over the course of its development has probably mostly been a WiiU game, and P5 mostly a PS3 game?

Can I ask which parts you didn’t like? Genuinely wonder about this cause I personally really liked the game but it seems most don’t here. Didn’t think it was perfect, but still enjoyable once your horse is good and you get some decent weapons.

 

Between this and the BOTW hatred this thread makes me feel like I’m fucking insane

 

Well you might be if my simple question invoked such intense feelings. Game isn’t for everybody, I get that and asked for the dislikes to see if they’re anything like mine. Conversing? I think it’s called. Not a huge deal.

 

RDR2 is a great open world game with such realistic systems in it, AND a damn good story.

Lol. Got 100% on RDR2. Adore it. I chose not to fast travel. It was entirely consuming and I personally really enjoyed the slower pace. Did all the side missions and extra trophy/collectibles/events long before I finished the story. The online is lacklustre, but even that I enjoyed (TDM matches anyway. I love the gunplay) and got myself to level 50. I get why some folk don’t enjoy the wandering around endlessly, but the map was packed full of story and incredible detail that alluded to the lives of NPCs. I was completely hooked.

 

Walking speeds, the movement lag, the menus, searching stuff (drawers etc). All of that made it too tedious in my opinion. That’s just me.

 

I love BotW though haha

Granted, I try to keep up with this thread and constructive criticism is fine but goddamn, y’all

 

I’m not sure what you guys are referring to this time? My criticism of RDR2 wasn’t hostile at all, it came up organically, AND I was asked to elaborate. Same for what people said about the new DMC. Overall, it was all very reasonable. For the rest we talked about console generations and Splinter Cell. Oh, and people actually said good stuff about Days Gone, a game everybody shits on.

It seems to me some people don’t want ANY negative opinions about popular games, which is unreasonable. You guys don’t have to get involved in all conversations, you know. If people want to discuss the flaws of a particular game, even if it is a game you love, maybe let them? It’s not like it was a hostile discussion. People asked and people answered.

 

RDR2 makes gaming a chore for me and I don't like that.

The best game this gen is Ding Dong XL.
