I truly knew nothing about Persona until 5 came out.

They change a lot of things in the anime that simply don't happen in the game or they just leave stuff out. I will say that Persona 4 had a good episode about Nanako which was pretty cool. There's a manga version that's not bad.

The problem I generally have is with the main character and the fact that the game gives you the ability to choose your narrative when it comes to your friends. The anime and manga both remove that completely.

I don't think I have a least favorite Persona, I think I love them all in a different way

 

Yeah they’re all fantastic. 4 is just the one that stuck with me the least. Still an amazing game though.

its totally fine to feel ok about anyone's take on persona games but even though ive never played it i can always assume that if your favorite one is the first one then youre probably an obnoxious person

 

I’ve never played one and my ex always begged me to, so I won’t play one in spite of her now. I’m what you might call ‘petty’.

 

The first game, the literal first one not the reimagining of the franchise with 3, is real hard in some places and doesn't age well at all.

so I wanna buy a new game on Friday when I get paid/have my day off

I'm currently halfway through the 7th b-side on my recent playthrough of Celeste and have "beat" Hollow Knight - with that in mind does Cuphead sound like something I can handle? I just don't wanna buy something that I'm not gonna like, would take any other suggestions (I typically like platformers, metroidvainas, shooters, or anything interesting as long as it's not turn based)

Part of me just thinks I should play something on Game Pass but fuck it I wanna buy a new game

edit: before @oldjersey tells me to play Katana I also want something longer than four hours lol
