I just bought enough eshop currency to get both but I am undecided between Baba and that Friends of Ringo game

Hmmmmm I haven't played either, I know @tucah and @clucky enjoyed the hell out of baba, doesn't seem like my type of game. Katana is a pretty short playthrough, but definitely has replay value and definitely has additional content coming out, it's also one of my favorite gaming experiences, up there with undertale.

I absolutely adore Baba. It sits alongside the Witness as my favorite puzzle game I've ever played.

Its certainly not a game for everyone. It gets really hard in places requiring a lot of thinking outside the box. Some of the puzzles I've got stuck on for a few days (I'll play it for ~half an hour on the bus in the mornings/evenings) But if you watch the trailer / some game play from early levels and think "this looks like a lot of fun" it definitely lives up to its potential.

I've lost count of the number of puzzles I've cackled from in sheer delight after I finally found the solution. Hope you continue to have fun with it!

the best/worst is when you think you have the solution and then it breaks in some unexpected way at the very end and you're left both sad your solution failed but also laughing at the way it broke.

baba is you is my favorite non-tetris/picross related puzzle game in a long, long time. figuring out new ways to stretch the rules and confines of the words you're given is such a joy and they just keep introducing more and more to ramp up the crazy shit that you're doing. my biggest surprise of the year.

So I've never played a Halo game (I know). Should I play them in any particular order? Do I need to start at the beginning for the story to make sense?

I’d definitely run through Halo 1-3 first, it also kind of eases in all the stuff in 4/5 gameplay mechanics wise. 4 and 5 are kind of the start of a new thing with the same main characters. If you have Live and want to run some multiplayer let me know, assuming you are using the Master Chief Collection

Some of the queue times/lack of people playing are a big reason why I haven't played MCC much

I kept wanting to do things outside of team slayer and just can't get a party

Yeah I had some KOTH on Halo 3, but I only tried BTB on Halo 2 classic. When I get home tomorrow I plan on trying BTB on Halo 4 or 5.

Just running basic Halo 2 classic with all game modes, I was getting matched in less than a minute, but it was mostly Team BRs (which is extremely my shit, so no complaints there)

Okay, so this is a little complicated. You can play it in order by release date or chronologically. The former is pretty simple, but the latter is a little more weird.

Halo: Reach comes first chronologically as it leads into Halo: Combat Evolved, the first game in the series. Then Halo 2. Well, sort of. More like the first few missions of Halo 2. Halo 3: ODST takes place during the events of Halo 2. Specifically, immediately after the Metropolis level. Then the rest of Halo 2 is after ODST. Then Halo 3, 4, and 5 in order.

Those are just the FPS games. Not counting Halo Wars or the twin stick shooters.

I would just do Halo 1-3, then Reach, then ODST, then 4-5.

I hated Reach, but in terms of learning how to play starting at anything post Halo 2 would be weird

Halo Wars and the iOS games are not essential
