500 is not bad for us, but the market has, time and time again, largely rejected 500 dollar consoles (ps3, Xbox one) or put them at a major sales disadvantage.

 

Plus Fortnite runs on everything

 

$450.

 

I’m sure these boxes will do well enough right out of the gate, but I do wonder how big the appetite more powerful consoles actually is given the state of the industry

 

I think if *both* cost 500 it will be interesting but I don't see Microsoft daring to come in with a 500 dollar box again.

I honestly think that the graphics horse race is going to backfire even harder next gen.

 

Klonoa was a wonderful game and I loved it so much as a kid.

I'd love to play it now and see how it holds up but I became so obsessed with it back then

 

My dad owned an Atari Jaguar, and then a NES that my brother and I played once we were old enough. From there, it was Sega Genesis > Playstation > Game Boy Color > Playstation 2 > Game Boy Advance > GameCube > PSP? > Nintendo DS > Xbox 360 > Playstation 4 > Nintendo 3DS > Switch.

I think thats accurate but I really don't remember exactly when I got the handhelds.

 

I played a lot of older consoles but didn't know if should include them/where I would put them as they were my dad's and he probably owned them from before I was born lol. I promise I have used a NES/SNES before lol

 

Yeah there was a SNES at my granny's house that I didn't include and my sister owned a Wii, played both consoles a lot but it's hard to count them as things I had haha

 

Spent most of my early gaming on PC, didn't jump into console gaming hardcore until Xbox.

I honestly am tempted to pull my 360 out to play some of the licensed games that I doubt will ever come to BC (Bourne Conspiracy, Bond games).

 

Typing that sort of makes me realize why I don't have a huge love for most of Nintendo's properties haha...

 

I also do not have an innate love of Nintendo stuff (grew on on Sega), but some of their games are just so UNDENIABLY good, BotW comes to mind haha

 

I have a deep love for the Zelda Gameboy games like Link's Awakening. The 3D ones never caught my attention.

I think I'll end up getting a Switch this year or next for my son. Will probably play some of the big games then..
