I don't think I've bought special edition anything. Tried to for mass effect 3 but it was all sold out.

I think I paid around $80 for whatever version of Destiny 2 at launch, what a waste that was

I've got that fucking sweet limited edition for Senran Kagura Peach Beach Splash called the "No Shirt, No Shoes, All Service" edition and it comes with a Blu-ray of every game's cinematic opening and a dlc pack for weapons and the "soaking wet wet high school uniforms" and if that isn't worth the extra money, I don't know what is.

I need more conversation. My night is dead.

What's a game you were surprised you liked? Either you thought it was going to be terrible or just never even considered a game in that genre, etc.

  12. Singularity. Thought it was gonna be another generic FPS and ended up loving it.

To a lesser, but more embarrassing extent, Brink.

Mirrors Edge. I was never that interested and then when it got lukewarm reviews I thought it was a pass, but then someone brought it over once and I completely fell in love with it. (Wish I could say the same for Catalyst.)

Funny, but Singularity is actually a game I really thought looked interesting, but it definitely did seem like a "oh look another shooter with a "unique" hook" that was going to go nowhere like Haze, Fracture, TimeShift, Bodycount, etc.

I still really want to play it, but I don't have any last gen systems.

So people are saying that $500 for a next gen console is bad?

As someone who does not play a lot of video games and never really buys consoles until a few years after launch (except Nintendo), I’d have no problem dropping that on a console if I really wanted it. Honestly that seems kind of inexpensive to me. People are out here paying $1000 for phones that they are going to have for a year and then do it all again next year but they can’t pay half that for something that will last 5-6 years?

There was a platformer on the PS2 I think? Maybe PSX. Main character was a rabbit looking guy. I got it as a gift from someone and thought itd just sit on my shelf forever but ended up sinking TONS of hours into it. Cant remember the name right now

    Just a friendly reminder

Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is one of the most pleasant surprises I've ever had. It's a rock solid arcade FPS with an amusing, interestingly told story from a franchise known for its mediocrity.

I never really got into the Pinball FX stuff until I got Star Wars Pinball through PS Plus and I was instantly hooked on it. Now, I have almost every table in Pinball FX 3 and I’m constantly trying to go up in the leaderboards.

I don’t know about a rabbit but makes me think of Sly Raccoon.

I resent Haze for existing. Apparently the studio behind it had plans to do a new/remake Timesplitters, but the game flopped and I think the devs got canned. Something like that. And the sad thing is Haze actually had some sound concepts. The whole multiplayer idea that when playing as the enemy (I forget their names) that there would be no blood shown on screen, no suffering and bodies would disappear immediately. Whereas playing as humans/good guys you’d see your colleagues dying and crying out for help. I wanted to play it, but I never owned a PS3 - I went from PS2 -> 360 -> PS4 -> Pro.

Oh that's actually an interesting idea.

What's the order of the consoles you owned?

    Mine was:
    Game Gear > SNES > PSone > N64 > PS2 > GC > Xbox > PS3 > PS4 > Switch

I left out my game boys, DS, 3DS, PSPs, Vitas, etc because I've been through so many and don't remember

    Atari > Mega Drive > GameBoy Colour > PlayStation > Playstation 2 > Xbox 360 > Playstation 4 > Playstation 4 Pro.

I missed out my Tamagotchis paha. And I’ll be getting a PlayStation 5. Xbox is kinda dead to me. It just doesn’t have the games I enjoy, and all of my friends are on PlayStation also. Always wince seeing gameplay of multiplatform games on the One in comparison to literally any of the other systems. It’s pretty damn bad. Hasn’t aged well at all.
