my friend told me today there's a rumor that Nintendo is planning to release an N64 mini for Christmas this year. Any weight to that?

 

I’m pretty sure that N64 mini prototypes are floating around Nintendo, but wouldn’t they have announced it if it came out this year? Maybe I’m wrong, I don’t remember how early they announced the NES and SNES.

From what I've read they're talking about hiring as many people as they can from the original team. I agree though, I would love it if Telltale would actually give all their former employees severance.

 

I mean if you’re out of cash you’re out of cash. The mismanagement started way way earlier, at this point there’s no room to fix anything anymore.

AC: Odyssey is good but not sure I like it as much as Origins.

It's SO easy to hit your allies in combat, don't remember having that problem in Origins. Also, the combat feels much less weighty for some reason. Maybe I'm making that up.

 

Does anyone have any headset recommendations? I prefer the 3.5mm wire instead of wireless because of my set up.

I just bought a $100 pair of HyperX Cloud Alphas because my $12 pair of Logitechs got a short in the cord. The hyperx is way too heavy on the bass and game noise is super distant and harder to hear. The Logitech wasn’t very comfortable and the voice chat kinda echoed a little but the game sound was excellent. I could hear every footstep perfectly.

I’m going to return the hyperx but I’d like to see what you all think might be a better option before buying another $12 set.

 

I have a pair of wireless Astro’s but I’m not sure if you want to spend that kind of money. They run $350-500 but are totally worth it in my opinion.

It's a fun strategy game. The peculiar thing is you see your enemies moves a full turn before they do it. So you get to change the outcome and move your guys before they act. It's an interesting spin on strategy games.

 

Has anyone preordered a digital game from Best Buy? I just pre-ordered Red Dead and it seems like I won't get a redemption code til the 26th. Does this mean I can't preload the game (which is the whole damn reason I preordered so I don't have to wait for 105gb game to download lol)

 

The previews that came out yesterday for Fallout 76 seem promising. Also the game does look REALLY good. I was surprised to see how good the textures, and environment looked. People pretty much saying too it’s a Fallout game with people, and it’s completely optional to even interact with other players. I remember people complaining saying they didn’t want MP in the Fallout universe. Well they’re ya go. All the people who played said you can just solo it if you choose.
