How is Gone Home in any way iterative of Bioshock?

 

They have said this themselves, more or less. The guy behind studio occasionally talked about the lineage from System Shock to Bioshok to walking simulators and Gone Home. Also he was responsible for Minerva’s Den, the Bioshock 2 DLC.
