Yeah honestly I don't get it either, if From were to decide on their own to include an easier difficulty in one of their single-player games it's really easy to just not play on it. Those people are ridiculous.

no, you're not getting the discussion at all. No one is against easy modes, we just don't think a developer should be required to include one in a game.

 

Tetris 99 is game of the year tho.

 

No one here is against an easy mode lol. There are 100000% a bunch of people out there who are against it.

 

Sekiro is dope but so far Apex is eating everybody’s lunch when it comes to GOTY imo

against easy modes in general or just in From games? because I'm not sure anyone is against the idea of easy modes in general. I can see why people would be against an easy mode in these kinds of games but I'm assuming those people would also be against a hard mode in these games.

 

Everyone should just git gud at FPS games

 

Yeah I meant there are plenty of people out there who are totally against easy modes in From games, sorry I thought that's what you were getting at. I'm not against easy modes in any games, including From games, I'm just against From being bullied/shamed into including them.

 

Ring the demon bell you basically get hard mode tho

 

at this point I almost think from should do the easy mode because I wanna lol at the people who get mad at it

I'd have beat it by now if it had an easy mode lol.

 

Here’s the easy mode for all the souls games

Dark Souls 1: BKH/Drake Sword

Dark Souls 2: power stance dual maces (was this ever patched?)

Dark Souls 3: sellsword twinblades

 

They should add an easy mode but as a micro transaction so the internet can explode with outrage again

 

Honestly I’m kinda mad they removed coop but if they hadn’t there’s no way I would’ve gotten as good as I did.

Also I have been stuck at the Owl for 3 days now.

 

it's going to take me all year to beat Sekiro and I'm okay with that.

 

It took me 11 days to beat it with the true ending. I only had like 3 hours per night to play though.

 

I am (sort of) against an easy mode in From games. Just because if there had been an easy mode in Dark Souls when I played it, I probably wouldve tried it at some point after losing a bunch and the experience would've been much less satisfying because of that. I get the point that Steven Spohn and others are trying to make but I also fully understand why Miyazaki doesnt include easy modes.

Any possible solution to this is much more complex then just 'make an easy mode' or 'get gud'
