just started Act 5

 

Gimme some tips bruh, im feeling overwhelmed and like i'm gonna suck at this. I've played Fire Emblem but this ain't no fire emblem.

 

HUZZAH although he didn't find another way to shoot himself in the head smh

 

definitely just do rock paper scissors. build whatever is strong to the units the opponents have the most. with the update it is easier to see which is weak to what. and then just make sure you are out of enemy range.

also if there are easy captures def do them early. an additional 100 gold every turn is a big thing

 

I basically spam Pikemen on every map until I can deploy a Trebuchet, with the occasional calvary unit. The dogs are basically useless except as scouts on levels with fog. Archers are ok but way too expensive for that they are. I never use the basic foot soldiers. The mages are pretty powerful, they've got great movement and have a super easy crit to pull off. Don't be too reckless with your commanders, but also don't ignore them either.

Also Wagons are OP. Moving 12 spaces is absurd, and they make for good decoys/bait. Just don't have one get destroyed with your commander inside, they'll automatically die. Learned that the hard way lol

Honestly September 13 is a bit earlier than I was expecting, which is great of course. I figured mid-October or early November.

 

can I galaxy brain my way into thinking gearbox must know something good is coming out October/November

It looks like Borderlands 3 will have cross platform co-op at least on Xbox. My prayers have been answered. All concerns have been washed away. All hail Gearbox.

If that's the case, I can get it for my X1X without having to worry about "can my PC run it well enough" or not. It plays Borderlands 2 fine, and Destiny 2 fine, but I hate the uncertainty when it comes to PC; or at least my current PC setup that I won't be upgrading anytime soon.
