absolutely but im more talking about the art itself not the process. i see many paralelles between game publishers and record labels, for example. but an album and a video game are not really comparable.

I don't expect a ton from Gearbox games but I sure have a ton of fun with them. That's all I am looking for in Borderlands 3.

 

i really love the borderlands art style. that said ive never played one of those games

 

There is a gal who does tremendous borderlands cos-play, like I have no idea how she pulls it off it looks like its the actual damn game

Yeah I stared at this for too long. I don't know what to tell you lmao.

 

Borderlands 2 was one of my favorite co-op shooter experiences ever. My friend and I sunk so many hours into that damn game, great memories.

 

i think the only real argument against an easy mode is artistic vision. if a dev doesn’t want it in then that’s really a fine excuse. but if fans don’t want it in because it “shouldn’t be easy”, sure sounds like gatekeeping to me. it’s an option you don’t have to use. options are good.

i sure do. i beat 95% of God of War on standard and turned it down to easy for postgame completion stuff because it made it more fun and less of a slog. i replayed Kingdom Hearts on easy because i wanted to.

we are consumers, being against options is weird. if there is a default difficulty that encompasses the creator’s ideal experience, what’s the harm?

 

like gaming accessibility is a real problem in the industry and we praise Microsoft for an adaptive controller and then turn around and turn noses up at accessibility in the games themselves? it’s a bummer i don’t get it

 

Oh yeah, i'm all for options. Dead Cells and Wargroove both added more difficulty tweaking and I loved it. I just think its bad ass that Fromsoftware has a degree of integrity where the refuse to make it possible to be easier, I think that should be respected. It's why they standout from other games.

 

right and i am fine with a dev deciding not to include it because they’d be sacrificing what they envisioned. but idk why fans do it

 

If there is anything I know for sure when I catch up on this thread every day, it’s that you guys like video games.
