That one video of him that went viral was, although disturbing, maybe the most unintentionally ‘funny’ thing I have seen in many years. I can’t believe anyone watches that idiot do anything.

We should give less time and energy to shitty streamers and more time to that friend group that met in real life to support their terminally ill friend, how rad is that.

Ubisoft and Google test browser streaming in the US with the new AC game (which, by the way, you can already officially stream to your Switch in Japan).

Yeah, Kotaku had a big article about that. I'm not sold. I know a lot of people have made this complaint, but I still think it's valid for a great portion of the country: the internet infrastructure in the US is shit and I wish companies like Google (which ironically gave up on Google Fiber) would focus more on developing relations with ISP to create a better system before trying to push a service that is riddled with holes.

Yeah, definitely. It's the same reason that physical copies of AAA video games aren't going anywhere for a while yet. I do think this streaming method will become a thing in the United State's more developed areas, as well as in countries that have great internet infrastructure across the board (hence why it is already actually a thing in Japan to a certain extent). I happen to live in one of those so I'm at least intrigued.

My internet goes out about four or five times daily. Comcast sucks. I can't imagine not being able to play games without internet access. I think it's good for an option, but I don't think it should ever go full streaming.

Yeah I mean I personally like owning things too. I actually buy music still. But I would welcome streaming for games I'm not all that interested in owning, if that makes sense. That's how I balance music streaming/buying too. Also, my main interest in video game streaming is being able to play games on a handheld that a handheld console can't realistically handle on its own anytime soon.

I do think streaming is cool for backwards compatibility and such. The fact that Sony has PS Now that allows you to download PS4 games is cool too.

I've always wanted a good HP rpg, couldn't be more excited. Got fond memories of Chamber of Secrets on gamecube. lol

Some of those GCN and GBA games were above average for sure.

I'm hearing whispers that this footage is fake (if it isn't then it should be unveiled soon given that this footage is obviously a trailer), but I seem to remember there being some news a while ago about a new AAA Harry Potter game being in development somewhere? I'd definitely welcome it, Hogwarts is a great setting for a more limited but dense open world game.

Agreed, I think it's probably real having just seen it, but you should see the amount of "Zelda in Unreal Engine 4" videos people churn out every day, haha.

I'm also still very hyped for "Witchbrook", the magic-school Harvest Moon-like

Well butter my butt and call me toast - the hype levels I have for RDR2 are through the roof and out of this galaxy. Watched the new gameplay video countless times already. Send help.

I thought of Rocksteady too but most rumors (I went deep just now lol) say Avalanche (as in Disney Infinity, not Just Cause)
