You defeat monsters by hitting them with golf balls

 

you level up with XP from “combat” (golf matches/skill challenges) and that rewards skill points to allocate to five different traits. you also unlock different gear to equip and do side quests etc

I hate this Lady Butterfly boss so much. It's so annoying. I can beat like 90% of it without being hit but then I get killed by some bullshit in a second. I'm so bored of this fight I can't even be bothered to give it my full attention so I just get killed more. Ughhh

 

Genuinely might quit the game because of that dumb boss.

 

this is so painful to look at it, i can almost feel the hardship that took place trying to do this in Paint rather than just typing it out on Excel

 

i almost missed this boss entirely. i only found out when i took a picture of my current progress to show my friend and he told me, "so you beat Lady Butterfly huh" and I was like, who????

turns out i totally missed the guy that gives you the key to the door LOL

 

I beat her, she just kept randomly catching me from midair with her arrows/orbs or with that grab move. Plus the camera was annoying as hell and kept removing my lock on.

Now for the guy on the horse!

 

we are advancing in opposite directions haha I bailed pretty hard on Lady Butterfly after a couple tries and went back to the castle. Horse dude should be so much easier than her.

 

Downloading Sekiro. Time to master the blade baby.

 

I probably should have went to do other stuff because it was pissing me off which made me make more mistakes but I was so close so many times I just couldn't stop lol.

 

Get stuck trying to kill the Chained Ogre. Go fight Juzou instead. Get stuck trying to kill Juzou. Go fight the Chained Ogre instead. The circle of life

 

i cheesed juzou so hard. hit and run kill all the other enemies first, then run away to remove heat. sneak deathblow juzou so his HP is halved and then run towards the ally with the sword and talk to him, so he'll help you fight juzou.

with the chained ogre just dodge a lot and use the fire prosthetic

the thing after the chained ogre and the miniboss after him almost gave me a heart attack. i'm glad i've had a few beers because that caught me off guard.

 

I'm trying to beat the ogre the non-coward's way (not taking off one of his health bars when he's not looking) and basically every time I get him down to like 1/4th of that last bar before his BS homing grab with the mile wide hit box does me in

 

another cheese i do is just holding circle (on PS4) while target-lock is active so i'm running a lot instead while moving. that helped me a lot fightning the chained ogre

it doesn't feel shinobi-like but it works lol haha

 

yeah I wanted to get a bunch more skills before I spent any more time there. I’m going to spend the night dying repeatedly against her. any tips?

 

I have no problem "cheesing" mini bosses with stealth kills because the game is bullshit at times. That said, I'm stuck at a "big" boss in and I'm just fucked. I have a pinched nerve in my elbow that makes my left hand weak/super painful so spamming deflection over time is just not working out haha.

There was a boss that you basically have to deflect and jump until their stance breaks (pretty easy fight, honestly), and I was parrying with my right hand on the left trigger. It was fucked.

 

Finally got around to beating DMC5

I would basically run around her in a circle to the right and hit her after from behind after she attacked which would usually give 1/2 hits. This makes the first phase super easy. Second phase do the same thing just be more patient. I realised my mistake was that I just kept rushing her and she has too many dumb things that can catch you and fuck your health up. She summons these illusions that you can either snap seed or just run around until they turn into ranges attacks and then hide behind a pillar and then start fighting her again. Also if she's in the air use a shuriken on her to knock her down and get a few hits in.

 

I play the whole game like this lol. Never thought about deaggroing minibosses to stealth one of their bars away though, need to try that!

 

im trying a new thing with Lady Butterfly that i saw on youtube. i was being patient with her but it took too long. basically just go aggro and hit her when she’s pausing and deflect/step dodge when she’s attacking and try to break her posture quickly

you finish a lot faster and die a lot faster too. i almost beat her 2nd form (i accidentally used all my snap seeds so I’m doing it the hard way) today. going to try again tomorrow.

i feel really good about it. this is the most I’ve “gotten” a souls/from game and i do think after I finish Sekiro I’ll manage Bloodborne now
