Atlus is being frustratingly sparse with details on ALL of their projects right now which I just don't get. We know barely anything about P5 The Royal, we know nothing about SMT V for Switch and what's going on with Project Re:Fantasy?

 

Yeah also their thing with all their games being only on one console is weird. Like Persona 5R and SMTV would both sale better or they were both on Switch and PS4

Persona has kind of blown up, but I imagine that overall Atlas are probably better off signing exclusivity deals given the potential audience of their games and development costs in a post-3DS/Vita era

 

Yeah kinda crazy how big Persona has gotten since 5 came out. I'm really curious as to how it will effect SMT V's popularity

Idk JRPGs have got more popular in the west in general in recent years

 

Was beating my head against a wall for a while in Sekiro. Now knowing what parts to stealth, I’m making mince meat of these guys. Except the mini bosses. Fuck them.

 

Never liked or understood JRPG’s, Anime, etc. I’m ok with that.

 

Same, but there's plenty out there for me as it is.

I play games for stories mostly so JRPGs always are great for me

 

I like plenty of games that talk alot don't get me wrong just the whole package of JRPG games and such I just can't get into it

I do too, I just don't have endless time and would prefer the shorter experiences. I always have to 100% complete a game as well which is incredibly daunting with JRPG types haha

 

One thing I do find weird is Dark Souls and Bloodborne are both Japanese RPGs but no one calls them JRPGs, then though technically they are
